Only part loads pictures oblong size incompatible with pictures worst picture frame I have ever owned.j

Can't get it to work
It was a Christmas present and already set up but when I plugged it in I couldn't tell if it was on or not because nothing appeared on the screen. I doesn't have a power light which other gadgets have. I removed the reader card to check and replaced it but still no go.HELP
