LEGOSuperheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set

I always planned to pick up the Milano Spaceship because I love spaceships but I wasn't convinced about this set. It looked ok, had a Groot and a Rocket, which was nice, but didn't really blow me out of the water. But when push came to shove and Christmas fever struck, I purchased the Milano AND this set. And truly I am glad that I did because there are quite a few little things that I enjoy about this set.First and foremost, Groot is large and in charge. Several different colors of green and brown give him an earthy coloring. His head and torso are one big molded piece with accents and stern facial expression. We've already experimented with adding other earth tones to him to extend his arms. His figure is imposing next to the regular mini-figs and especially big next to shorty Rocket. But what Rocket lack in size he makes up in attitude. Rockets face and tail are adorable and his BFG cannon is very well executed; his blaster is as large as he is! Nebula has a very serious cyborg head and a rich purple body. Her arms are different colors due to the cybernetic tinkering done to her by Thanos. There is also a Saharan figure which is nice but these Rocket, Groot, and Nebula really are above average mini-figs.The set is also better that I'd first thought I really like the mining pod. It is built out of fetching combination of blue, light blue, translucent, yellow, and grey bricks that give it a very distinct look next to the red and gray tower structure. The pods arms have three thick fingers that are great at grasping and there is a cool storage hatch for the yellow cylinder bricks. The tower was also more than I expected. There are several play functions that are worth mentioning. The top tower has a trap door that my son enjoys dropping mini-figs down. The whole tower can be launched off of the lower section by pressing down on the dish. And there is a little catapult for launching the translucent yellow cylinders. I'm not sure why a catapult was include but my little guy rather enjoyed it.And let's not forget the launcher cannon. This one is awesome. I sat on the carpet all Christmas morning launching spring-loaded missiles at my kids.Overall this set beat my lower expectations. But I gave it 5 stars because I thought it was well executed. The Pod and Cannon were my favorite part of the set apart from the great mini-figs. And when purchased with the Milano, provides all of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Very fun set that is accurately described and delivers as promised. It's also nice to get a lot of characters in one group which doesn't alwasy happen in Lego sets.My 9yr old completed this set in a couple of hours but I think that is because he is a big fan of the movie and really want to finish it so he could show it to others.

You really get your moneys worth in this set. Very rare characters and truly creative work of art. Easy to put together with flawless instruction. Took my son less than an hour to set up the whole set. If you have a Guardians of the Galaxy fan in your household this set is a must. It comes with Rocket Raccoon, the Sakaaran and Nebula, and a figure: Groot.Mining station features a tower with trap door and an exploding function, firing bazooka, catapult with fuel bombs, docking station for the mining pod. Groot figure is fully posable with adjustable arms and legs. Mining station measures over 6" high, 8" wide and 5" deep; Mining pod measures over 2" high, 2" wide and 3" deep; Groot stands over 5" tall

That is a great set. My six-year-old son spent most of the afternoon on Christmas Day putting it together. I was concerned that he's on the lower end of the age range, but the instructions we're so clear that he plugged right along. A great example of a complex but accessible Lego set.

You're mainly getting this set for Groot and Rocket Raccoon, because the rest of this set is pretty bad. The mining facility does not feel exclusive to the Guardians Universe...It could be a tower for some other set really.Groot and Rocket though are EXCELLENT figures to play with and have. So, the price of this set is worth it just to get those two figures.

I love legos and building them with my 7yr old. This was fun mainly because of Groot, he is our favorite from the movie and among the people in this kit. What can I say everyone loves legos and this does not disappoint.

We got this for Groot! We are Groot after all.Seriously, my girlfriend and I enjoyed putting this kit together. It's cool that it features several different set pieces so it's kinda like getting several small kits all in one. The instructions were the standard quality LEGO instructions, mostly good, sometimes confusing.I'm a lifelong LEGO fan and have assembled dozens of sets in my time. This was my first set from the Marvel lineup.

While I see the current price has gone up over $5 from the price I paid, it is still a great set. If you are a fan of the movie, the comics, or just a Collector, this is still a deal. The cost of the Rocket and Groot figures by themselves still cost more than the total cost of this set. Get them before they are gone, or before the price jumps even more!

Can't go wrong with anything Lego! My 13 year old son saved his money and was so excited to find this set and buy it. He absolutely loves it! It came super fast, too.

My 9 year old son loves this set and all the pieces it comes with. He especially loves the Groot included in the set.
