Grips to surfaces!
After getting some bad crutch tips off Amazon that slid all over the place, I had to get new tips fast or else.... crash on the floor! These are great. Even tried some damp spots and they still work like a charm. I feel confident and safer again gimping around the house.

If you must need crutches check your tips before you Crash & Burn like I did.
I wish I had checked the tips on my Loftstrand (Forearm) Crutches. I went flying on Black Ice and injured some of my right ribs. Had to get x-rays done. The crutch tips were as smooth as could be. After thirty-five years I should have checked the tips. These replacement tips provide great gripping power. Still like locking the barn after the horses ran out. Being seventy-two I do not see replacing these tips again.

Poor durability
I’ve had several where the aluminum cyclinder of the forearm crutch pushed through the center of the crutch tip in 2 months. They used to last me a year. One time the metal disc cut through the side of the tip. Material has become barely functional and then where do they go, how about a recycle program?

Great stability but only lasts 2 months on tread & 4 months till this blow out
I've gone through a lot of crutch tips over the last 40 years and I like the stability of the oversized crutch tips. The only problem I have with the these is they don't last as long as the original smaller tips that came with my Drive Forearm Crutches. You can see in the picture that the original (right) is a more dense material and lasts about 16-20+ months and the Guardian (left) is a softer material and the tread wore down in the first 2 months then finally splits open at around 3-4 months. And I'm in a wheelchair most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I like the oversized tip and I'll keep buying them because I need the extra stability that they provide. I just wish they made them a lot tougher. This has been an ongoing issue with Guardian Super large crutch tips since I bought my first pair in 1980:s. But I keep on buying them anyway. Maybe that says more about me, then it does about them. Make sure you always have a spare set of these Guardian super large crutch tips on hand. I even keep an extra set or two of the smaller tips on hand, just in case. Another great thing about these larger tips is here in Western Washington it rains, a lot and I've lost a few tips in the mud. But never these. Heck I can barely twist them 180° every few weeks to get even wear out of the tread. That's another little secret from 40 years of using crutches... Always rotate the tips just like you would a car's tires.
