This is perfect to counter the weight /size of the iPhone 12.Especially when using wide angles did to the positioning of the phone

Works perfectly, I was about to return my gimbal and try a more expensive one but I thought I would give this a try first as a much cheaper option and it works perfectly 👍 👍Balancing an iPhone 12 max pro, anamorphic lens and hohem isteady+

Well priced counterweight that attaches nicely with a solid mechanism. Doesn't look out of place on my gimbal.

PROS:1) EFFECTIVE2) EASY TO ATTACH3) INEXPENSIVE4) REDUCES BATTERY CONSUMPTIONCONS: NONE!I used this on my Zhiyun Smooth 4 Gimbal (bought from Amazon a couple of years ago). This Gimbal when setting up requires (like all gimbals) that you find the centre of gravity of the phone before powering on. I have an iPhone X and a Huawei P30 Pro. The P30 is used solely for videoing and photos. It knocks the socks off the iPhone X, especially when it comes to battery life. The problem with the P30 is it’s longer than the iPhone X. When you try to balance it on the Zhiyun Smooth 4, before powering on, it is impossible to get anywhere near the centre of gravity. Thus, the gimbal mounted P30 Pro, hangs down, until the gimbal is powered up. Since the gimbal motors are working more than they have to, the charge on the gimbal doesn’t last as long as it could.The USKEYVISION counterweight solves this problem by balancing out the P30 Pro before the gimbal is powered. Thus this is an essential purchase if you have a long phone, the length of a P30 Pro or an iPhone 8 Plus or any of the iphone pluses. BUY IT, IT’S DOTTORE APPROVED!!!

I have a Zhiyun Smooth 4 and I have had a problem when I want to use an external microphone with the gimble.When attaching an external mic, you have to attach a perpendicular connector pushing the phone away from the arm. This tips the balance making it more difficult for the gimble to maintain the phone level. It can do it but it becomes less stable and uses more battery power. It is not naturally balanced so gets more jittery in use.The USKEYVISION counterweight is a very simple and effective solution. If using an external mic or a larger (iPhone PLUS) sized phone, attaching the counterweight with one or more 10g weights helps to redress the balance.It really is a must if you are taking your gimble photography seriously. It's expensive for what it looks to be but it seems to be precision manufactured and attached really easily.It has to be removed before returning the gimble to its box as it will not allow you to close the lip with the weight attached but it is not difficult to remove and easily goes back on when needed.All in, I'm really pleased with this and would recommend it to anyone intending the use an external mic with their phone gimble.

This is not a bad item as it does what sit says it will do or rather, should. It’s made from decent machined alloy with the weights, four of, in whatever metal. It’s a bit fiddly to set up but after a few minutes and a bit of trial error it works okay! I have a Zhiyun model gimbal and I must say it had improved it quite well as it is more precise when moving around with the weights on - I have used two of the four supplied to balance it - and to be honest I can’t really fault it. Although saying that, being priced at £17-99 (as reviewed late November 2020) I think its slightly overpriced as I would think a more reasonable one being around the £12 mark would be about right. In fact a friend, who is in the engineering business, said he thought it was about a ‘fiver all in, tops’ based on there is nothing ‘hi-tech’ about it to produce machining-wise and was surprised when I said how much it is. I give it 4 Stars as I think the price is high..

I was hoping to use this with my Hohem Gimbal, but it's not designed quite like some of the other models that would readily accept this neat little solution. I have the X-Steady. The idea is easy enough to understand. The clamp allows fitment of a range of added weights to balance the gimbal better when using an add on lens. It's that simple. So price-wise you could gripe about the £14 or so for something so simple, yet quality is excellent IMO and the various weights allow for so many combinations. Packaging is super neat too, in small card boxes. You get a feeling of care and quality of manufacture. I'd recommend, just not for my X-Steady unfortunately.

I have this Hohem iSteady Mobile phone holder and one-day I have to record a life event with my Samsung phone and I have to attach a separate wireless microphone adapter to.ky phone for good sound quality.Unfortunately I was frustrated as it kept falling to one side because the weight is not balanced atall.The day I saw this counter weight balance, I was so happy and when I tried it with my hohem phone holder, it was another beautiful story as there is no more falling over mainly because this device did the job. It balanced the weight with the microphone adapter and I i have ever since been pleased with it and recommend it.It a life safe you will not regret it.
