I was looking to replace my old digital scale, the white exterior of which is no longer white (more a yucky age-enhanced yellow) and it measures in whole and half pounds (never a problem before but now I have a need to be more precise). Before setting out to a local housewares store, I thought oh I should check Amazon and I am so glad I did! I never imagined that I would use the word lovely to describe a scale, of all things...but indeed that's what it is. The tempered glass has a beautiful finish (it will never turn yellow) and I like the backlit digital screen. Setting up was a snap right out of the box and the calibration seems very precise. I didn't really need any help with it but went to the manufacturer's website as suggested in the packaging. There I registered the product and was impressed with their list of other products as well as the company's charity focus. So now my scale needs are satisfied and I have a bunch more items on my Amazon wish list!4/9/2019 ~ I had this scale just short of two years and it performed beautifully and consistently. Alas, stuff happens and in my case that stuff was a water supply valve that broke and flooded my bathroom. Sitting in an inch of water did nothing good for the scale as one might imagine. I called the manufacturer on the chance that they might be able to tell me how to open it up and dry it out. I wasn't sure if that would work but thought it worth a try. Their customer service agent could not have been more gracious ~ she was most sympathetic to my plight but rather than give me a repair tutorial, she sent me a new replacement scale without further ado. This scale still rates 5 stars for me and now so does their customer service!

UPDATE. Okay, first I gave one star and a negative review because the scale didn't show the accurate weight and kept changing it mind every time I stepped on it.But the next day a person from customer service contacted me and said he could help me to set the scale. I quote his email here, in case somebody has the same problem, "One thing you can check is the calibration. Place it where you want it to go and turn it on. Let it settle at 0.0 before stepping on to weigh in. Try this a few times and let me know if that helps."And it totally helped! Now it's precise and not capricious anymore. :)Looks great and works great. Also, it keeps showing your weight after you step off it, so if you have bad eyesight, you can always step off and check (I wear contacts but sometimes I check my weight when my contacts are off and I'm blind'ish, so it's nice that I can just step off and check instead of doing crazy gymnastics while on the scale!).Huge thanks to customers support. It was especially nice, because right before having the issue with the scale, I payed for another product in an online shop (not Amazon, obviously) and it was delayed for 3-4 weeks and THEIR customer service said they couldn't let me know in advance or contact me before they finally ship it (though I might be in a different city). Anyways. Thanks!

This is a fantastic scale for the money! Here's what I love about it:- It's VERY Accurate.- Easy to set up. Just tap it with your foot, let the numbers go back down to zero, and then weight. It's that easy.- Beautiful design and easy to read (large text with a bright, LED, back-lit display.)- Battery is easy to replace.- Company provides amazing customer service and a 5 year warranty to ensure that you're happy with their products. When I purchased the scale, I received a note from the company thanking me for my purchase, as well as an assigned customer support person who was there to answer any questions that I had with getting started. What company does this nowadays? Wow!What you might want to know:- It's mostly made out of glass, so don't drop or bang it around, as it can shatter.- Each time that the scale is moved to a new location, it needs to be reset (foot re-tapped, let the numbers go back down to zero), and then it's ready to take your weight. If you don't do this, you can get crazy number results.If you want a simple scale just accurately (and honestly) measures, you've found it. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase!

We've been using this scale for about a month now. When we first opened the box, it seemed to read erratically, but I think we inadvertently did the calibration described in another review, as it soon settled down and as far as we can tell reads accurately, and definitely reads weights consistently the same if you get of and on several times. Nice big numbers, easy to read. And thin enough (3/4" high) to let our bathroom door pass over it, which lets us put it in the best available location. Also 11.75" x 11.75" square, which makes it easy to stand on. One thing not entirely clear--it is described as accurate to .2 lbs. What that means is that it reads to + or - .2 lbs, and nothing in between. We had hoped what it meant was that it would weigh down to .2 lbs, which it won't It won't even register anything if it weighs less than 11.2 lbs. So, not good for weighing small packages directly, but more than good enough for weighing people, which is what it claims to be for after all. And if you need to weigh a small package, you can always weigh yourself with and without the package in your hands, and subtract to get the package weight.Update--have noted that the scale seems to loose accuracy (reads ~ 5 lbs low) when very cold. Very cold may well mean floor temperature in the 40's or low 50's, but I really don't know. It does warm up very rapidly if in proximity to a bathroom heater, and then reads fine. I assume the piezo electric crystals get a little stiff when cold and produce lower voltage. Not a big deal once you're aware of it. I assume all electronic scales would have the same limitation.

Great product.

I just got this today and I was really excited to try it out BUT now I'm not happy anymore because it didn't give me an accurate number of my actual bodyweight except for the 25lb dumbbell I have which did gave me the accurate number for the dumbbell. When I weigh myself, I'll get one number, then try again 5 minutes later and get different number that says I'm up 3 pounds. I've been going up the scale every 5 minutes and it'll give a different number. A total waste of money because this product lacks any consistency.I do have to give a thumbs up for the look of the scale because it looks really nice, but a HUGE thumbs down for the inaccurate numbers.Please please PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS SCALE! :(You'll thank me later!!!
