iPowerLED 4FT Foldable Grow Light Stand for Seed Starting Plant Propagation, 70W Red and Blue Spectrum, Double Tube, Dual Control Switch

We've decided to start doing some preseason seed startings and we started to look for components for a system to use at home. We've checked out a number of components online including light stands. We found reviews for this unit which were almost all 5 stars! People commented on the easy of set-up for this particular unit, i.e. the "fold-away" design which required no bolts or screws yet provide excellent stability. We also decided to go with the LED light bank because of less heat and reduced electrical demand. Also, the florescent tubes with nearly all the other systems we believe are more likely to suffer damage while the LED bulbs should also last much longer than the florescent ones. When the package arrived we set it up in a matter of minutes & it works great!

It's a decent stand to get started with. Mine arrived without pegs to connect the riser legs to the feet. Sent an email requesting just the pegs and haven't heard back. I had to go to Ace Hardware to get 'L' corner braces, drill pilot holes, screw the corner braces in, all in order to get light to my seedlings. Advice: plan ahead and spend a bit more to get quality and all pieces for assembly.

Product arrived missing a few pieces. There were no clamps to attach to lamp so it could hang. There are two cords the lamp hangs on. The rubber grommets that keeps the cord from all the way into the metal bar were missing on one side. The cord had gone back into the metal bar and I had to fish it out. Customer service was evidently in another country. Although I was speaking very slowly and plainly, so I could be understood, the person could not comprehend what I was saying. When I asked to speak to someone with a better understanding of the English language he refused. He finally understood what I was saying after many repeated attempts on my part. The missing pieces were delivered in a timely manner and the light is working fine. It is a good price I just wished they had better quality control.

Purchased to over-winter some delicate plants. The tender succulents are happier than they were last year in just natural light. There was a tiny tomato volunteer in the lemongrass pot which we let grow. Grow it did, and so far we've had a half dozen tomatoes. And the lemongrass is happy too. The light definitely seems to be doing its job. :)Recommended for sure.

Set up and take down was a breeze. Due to the other comments I used an extra clip on the light cord to be sure it would not fall onto the plants unexpectedly. Never had a problem. Seedlings / plants loved and thrived with the light.

I decided to grow veggie seeds on my unused dining room table. These lights are perfect! Just the right size. I started with 2 and bought another since I have room on the table. We can't grow lettuce and kale outside when we can grow tomatoes so I'm going to use these lights to try that as well. Easy to put together. I'm keeping the boxes so I can take apart and store them when not in use. : )

Plastic pieces used in assembly arrived broken. Unable to reach person at 1-888 number and had to get another product. Do not recommend this product.

I used this grow light for the first time this year, it really helped my plants. Much brighter than the T5 one I also use. Was able to put almost all my plants under it so this should be good for most home gardeners. I used a timer to control time uni was on and had both blubs turned on. I saved the pacaging and used it to store the unit for next year.
