Flavor:Hot Twin brothers Jim and john Thomas started the el pinto food's salsa division in 2000, so people throughout the country could enjoy el pinto salsa and green chili sauce at home. The brother's first production site consisted of a 35 gallon kettle and a pump in the kitchen. Today, el pinto uses 120 tons of chilies a year, makes 2, 000 cases a day and have the capacity to make 3-4 million jars a year in their 8, 000 square foot salsa production facility which is attached to the el pinto restaurant.

It's good stuff, even if not what I ordered
Something went amiss. I ordered red chile enchilada sauce and got Green Chile Enchilada Sauce. To a New Mexican that's the difference between night and day, or winter from summer. But I didn't return them because I knew we'd use up the product anyway. Bottom line - if I was making Green Chile chicken enchiladas I'm prepared now. Hard to do in the Pacific Northwest.

Salsa received instead of Enchilada Sauce. Boo
Order Enchilada Sauce and received six bottles of Salsa.Was going to use it for making Enchilada's but I threw it in the fridge. "the salsa" is actually quite tasty. If and when the enchilada sauce would come available I will buy it

Great Flavor
My favorite sauce for enchiladas, posole and other New Mexico dishes. The medium heat is tasty with some spicy heat that I can share with friends that can't eat any hotter. Great flavor.

Easiest, tastiest enchilada sauce.
El Pinto in Albuquerque is the real deal. They use the best chiles from Hatch, NM. We stopped making this sauce from scratch from the chile powder since this is so much more convenient. We had some on our tamales last night!

Taste so good
Love it tastes just like my mom and dad's. Hatch Chili is the best, I know because I grew up with it! I'm from New Mexico (live in Sacramento Cali now) from the Hatch, Mesilla Valley farm lands- Las Cruces my home town....
