An odd mix of excellent photography interspersed with amateurish poetry. The accompanying descriptive text is poorly translated.

Forbidden Places: Exploring Our Abandoned Heritage Volume 3.
A collection of photo essays documenting the decaying remains of once important buildings and installations from across the world.I bought this looking for reference material for artwork; the book has a mixture of black and white and colour photographs and covers a fair range of subjects with something of an emphasis on interiors – though a marine graveyard in France is a bit different from the factories, hospitals and public buildings that make up the bulk of the images. Each section has a brief introductory text – though I could have lived without the questionable poetic input. Not a bad book and reasonably helpful to me - though I've seen better volumes than this one.3½ stars.
