Ameritex Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Pet Blanket for Furniture Bed Couch Sofa Reversible

I have dogs who love water but because of the cold weather I put them inside. This blanket is just attracted to water. It gets wet fast because of my dogs, but now my floor isn't all wet. This is a great purchase its like a mop and its easy to clean you can put it in the washer or hose it down outside.

These covers work GREAT for those of you who have dogs that holds the grudge when you leave for work. Very well made and looks great. When we first got it it didn't let any liquid through at all. But after a few washings just a little dampness after clean up. Still, I'd recommend them. In fact, I'm buying two more. I would just be careful with the wash cycle as I didn't look up how to clean it so it might be my fault.

A bit bummed because I bought this to use in my puppy pen, with 5 puppies from our latest litter. I was looking for a waterproof blanket to protect from all of their accidents, which this certainly is; BUT, it doesn't absorb any of it. So if you are looking for a similar use, consider a blanket with a side for absorbency, as with this one the liquid sits on top of the blanket and all our pups end up absorbing it into their fur and then running around soaked in their own pee. :( Great waterproof blanket for sure - but not good for my purpose.

This blanket works well but it’s not going to be completely waterproof. So if you’re using this on your couch for a large dog that has issues, then I suggest you purchase two and use them at the same time. No piddle is getting thru two of them!! The blanket is very light weight & you can wash it on a small/medium load in your washer. I purchased the queen size measurements blanket to make sure it was large enough to come get the couch. I should have taken a picture but when there is a puddle of pee on the bed, you can't think straight. Said puddle just sat right on top of the blanket. Did not absorb at all! I cleaned up the pee and spray various cleaning products and it still didn't seep through to the regular bedding. My new kitten has been having some bladder troubles so I bought these for my bed and 2 couches and I am so glad I did! They're pretty soft as well. Ive been sitting on the ones on the couch and it's not scratchy at all. Obviously not a blanket i want to snuggle up in bed, but not uncomfortable and the perfect covering for when I'm out and about and dont want to buy a new mattress every week. Highly recommend!

So yeh, it sure is waterproof. I bought these for use on couch and dog bed (I bought two) for times when my creek loving labs come in with swamp dampened fur. I never seem to get them fully dried off, so them having a towel or easy to clean blanket helps mop up the rest of their wetness. Been using it like so for few weeks now, washed them a couple of times. Feels dense but soft.How I found out that they are REALLY waterproof is that once in awhile one of my cats will decide to PEE on the couch or dog bed. I tossed this on their dog bed, which is sort of loose looking (as opposed to couch where it seems to stay straightened out), and I noticed that it was holding pee. The pee had not soaked into the material. SO I carefully picked it up and poured off the pee. In hindsight, I should have tossed a towel on it to soak up the pee instead of trying to walk through the house with a puddle of pee.It is waterproof. That's great. If using it to keep liquids from a place that can easily be washed, then this will do it. However, I would top it with something that can soak up the liquid. So for me, I will put this on the couch cushion then top it with a big towel or small easy to wash blanket. Then pee (or whatever) will hit that first, soak up, and THIS cover will keep the pee (or other liquid) from seeping down to cushion, mattress, etc.It's durable feeling material, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for providing extra protection from nails, claws, wear and tear and such, as well as the waterproof aspect. One of the pictures from a review shows what I experienced: the liquid sits on top. So yeh, it is waterproof.I'll update if I experience anything else worth sharing, especially if I notice it not working anymore.

I'm feeling pretty disappointed because I purchased a waterproof blanket for my Great Dane, Ceci, who is dealing with some health issues including a UTI, incontinence, and an autoimmune disease. I saw a picture of a Great Dane on the product page and thought it would be perfect for my situation. Ceci is taking prednisone, which makes her urinate more frequently, so I thought this blanket would be great for protecting my expensive couch.However, I've found that the blanket is not as effective as advertised. Despite the product description and positive reviews claiming that liquids stay on the top, the urine leaks through the blanket and soaks everything underneath it, including sheets, towels, and comforters. I've tried layering other items to absorb the urine, but they all end up getting soaked as well. I'm disappointed because I really needed a waterproof product, and now I'm not sure what to do. I'll continue to use the blanket until Ceci's health issues are resolved or her vet approves the use of doggy diapers. While I've considered buying more of these blankets and layering them, I don't know if it's worth it given the quality of the product.

This cover is very well put together, fits nicely on the couch. Nice grey colour. The dog likes it too.

We have a foster kitten that is sometimes incontinent. Having these blankets on the bed are a lifesaver. They are lightweight, wash great, and dry quickly in the dryer.

I love these. They are lightweight making them easy to wash and dry. Keeps my furniture safe.

This product is of quality material and waterproof. My dog loves to sleep on my bed so this blanket is perfect to cover the bedspread.

Works great on my new leather couch, stays up over the back pretty good
