Not powerful enough.
It seems durable, but doesn't charge well at all. Plugged in a small powerband, and 2 cell phones...one iphone and one android...and left to charge in direct sunlight. After 2 hours all 3 devices showed only about 3% increase. Unplugged powerbank and iPhone and then it charged the android just fine, but took 6 hours to completely charge so was unusable all day when I wanted to take photos. Will try again but not very hopeful.Update 4/16/2021: Anker replaced the product and it seems to be working well. I want to complement them on their customer service going above and beyond. I have spent several a lot of money on Anker products and trust them.

Perfect for learjet pilots
I needed a power supplement to be able to charge devices and I've always relied on Anker as my "go to" supplemental power sources. Their battery packs have lasted me years and several cycles of use on a regular basis. As an air ambulance, learjet pilot, I frequently rely on iPads and other devices to be able to complete my mission. Many older aircraft don't have accommodations in the cockpit top be able to charge devices on the fly and still be able to see and use them. Anker products always bridged this gap for me. With the solar panel, I saw a potential to take this power supply to the next level. The solar panel folds out and fits perfectly in the learjet 35 cockpit dash area and st 41,000 feet, it gets all the sun it needs. This product works great and because of its size, doesn't take up what very valuable and little bit of room you have in the Lear cockpit. It fits in the learjet 35 and 55 dash area with ease. So far, yet another excellent product from Anker.

A great product.
Does not work at all behind glass windows. Outside in direct sunshine a great product as advertized.

Overall ok
Didn't really know what to expect since this is the first time I've bought something like this. Before buying any solar charger like this, there's a few things to consider.First, to accurately measure how well these charge your phone, download the apps "Accubattery" and "CPU-Z". The first will measure and show you how much charge your phone receives from any cord. The second will show you lots of information, but what you want is the Sensor that measures light (shown as: 0 lux, 90,000 lux, etc.). Most phones should have this hardware if they auto adjust screen brightness.Second, make sure you dont use a cable that is too long. The longer it is, the more it will struggle to charge your phone. Wall outlets are fine to use with it, but something like this needs something at least 6ft or less.If you want lots of power flowing into your phone as you continue to use it, you should probably get one with at least 28 watts charging rate, maybe more.Third, yes. It must be directly facing the sun, unobstructed by even thin clouds (may vary depending on each unit). Consider how hot the unit might get, make sure you check the instructions for that info, then take it with a grain of salt. It may be able to go a bit hotter, but ventilation is definitely something that should be considered.Forth, consider where it will go, and how big it is. That means get up and use measuring tape.If you're on the move, consider a solar charging battery pack, maybe with lots of panels if the sun is what you intend to charge it with. They don't need full blast sunlight to charge (they still charge pretty slow regardless, compared to other methods of generating electricity). But remember: there's always a compromise with these. They are not wall outlets. Try to plan out how much you use your phone off the grid.

Actually works well
I purchased this for an extended hunting trip in Alaska. It didn't like to charge my phone very fast but worked well charging my battery pack. I will say if you trying to reduce weight for a trip I wouldn't recommend this. It is fairly bulky. It's the size of a magazine when folded up, weight isn't bad but not reat either. It does unfold to be 3x that size, of course that's probably why it works as well as it did. It's solar panels large. I had zero problems with it and would recommend.

It's kind of a shame
Based on the positive rating of the Anker company, I made a purchase of several dozen Anker24W solar panels. Which I regret very much now. Approximately every fourth or fifth is a marriage. Does not work. The red lamp is on, in clear sunny weather there is no charge at all. But what a shame when I open a sealed package and there is a used dirty product. Some panels were sent without packaging, transport stickers directly on the branded box. I'm in Ukraine. For this reason, all Anker warranties are void. Due to high transport and customs taxes, the return of goods is not cost-effective. I ended up losing a lot of money. I do not recommend contacting the Anker company, this is a disgraceful company and a waste of money, nerves, and time.

Why no "Type C" charge port?
Brought this to upgrade my current EDC travel pack. Little disappointed that there is NOT a type C charge port. I also brought the Power core solar 20,000 mAh that charges by type C. Everything else is excellent.

Highly recommend read more about below
Very good solar charger. Can charge my Samsung power bank within 30-45 minutes depending on sunlight level. Works great very durable and the panels are flexible and they don’t break but I don’t recommend bending it. It folds up nicely it is bigger than the picture and make sure you have a power bank because it does not have a built in battery to store power that it gets from the sun so make sure you have something to power. I would highly recommend and it has the best reviews than any other solar charger I saw online. And at a reasonable price.
