Great Seiko Watch
Not shiny but stylish watch for a chronogrph. Face diameter is smaller but looks good on me.

Great watch, but a little on the small side!
The watch functions well so far. The dial and hands look great! The price $108.00 is fine for what you get. However, it is a little small for my 7.25-7.50 inch wrist. I gave it to my daughter to use as an every day beater watch.

The watch is small and truly cheap-looking
I bought the watch because it looked good in the picture--and it's cheap! However, when it arrived I found the watch to be small (may look good on teens) and really cheap-looking. I returned it.

Double check on the size is recommended, good for small wrists.

Case size 2small
Didn't do my home work. I never buy a watch when case size is smaller than 42mm. This is girl stuff.

6.5 Year Update
Family got me one of these for fathers' day (at my request). Been looking for a new watch to replace my 20 year old Timex chronograph. These are initial impressions, but I'll try to update later.I'm cursed with skinny wrists, so finding a watch that fits and looks right has always been a challenge, and chronographs are even more challenging. And it's a challenge that has only gotten worse with the trend of monster oversized watches. Nobody markets a chronograph in North America that is less than 40+ mm.Searched for a long time to find these imported Seikos. So if you're looking for a smaller than the current norm chronograph, this family of Seiko is for you. This particular model has a woven nylon band. Appears to be very sturdy, and has over 45 mm of adjustment. I'm on the third to smallest hole though, and I really can't imaging anyone with smaller wrists than me. Point being, the last couple of holes are probably worthless, so you're looking at more like 35 mm of adjustment. Tt probably won't fit the biggest of wrists, but there are plenty of big watches out there for those folks. Or just get a longer band. The drawback of a smaller watch with all the chronograph sub dials is that it is a very busy, and hard-to-read face. Some of that is due to the size, but the dark red sub dial hands and sweeping minute hand are very hard to see against the black face. The hour and minute hands aren't much better. Just not enough contrast. There are some other variants in the same family of this watch that might have better legibility. Finally, the housing has what I guess would be called a vapor honed finish. It's not shiny or brushed. It almost looks like painted plastic. For a casual watch is fine, but for dress, again, you might want to explore some of the other watches in this family. If you want to research this and other Seiko watch models, do a web search for "WatchSleuth". Pretty awesome searchable catalog of Seiko watches with links to this vendor's Amazon offerings.UPDATE: Fast forward less than one week after receiving it, it's not keeping time. Lost four hours overnight, and the sweeping second hand has shifted (won't reset to zero).3.5 YR UPDATE: The time keeping issue is related to close proximity to magnetic fields. I carry a money clip with a magnetic hasp. When it's in my left front pocket, I have the issues with the watch. Carrying it in my back pocket, the issue goes away. Also have to remember not to lay it next to my money clip on the dresser. I think that was the cause of the initial loss of time. All of the black paint in the compass lettering has worn chipped away. That happened within the first month or so. I've restored it with black lacquer a few times now.Functionally it has held up well. Still on the original battery.6.5 year update: Original battery finally died a few months ago. Still running strong though. Original band has held up. It's due for another touch up on the bezel paint. This is my weekend watch that I gets worn doing everything from working in the garage, to swimming in the ocean. It's seen a lot of action.I'm contemplating an upgrade, and if I do, it will be another Seiko for sure.

OK-ish field watch
Good size for a daily field watch (38mm). Legibility of the hands could be better otherwise decent product.

Bonne montre polyvalente
