Stride RiteUnisex-Child Made 2 Play Owen Sneaker

Last year I found a pair of these shoes at a kids’ consignment shop. I bought them for my rough and tough son for the beginning of preschool. They were such a amazing shoes. They looked almost new until the end of the year. I was able to wash them twice and nothing came apart or faded. This year my rough and tough son is entering kindergarten and his little brother will be in preschool as well so I decided to order a new pair for each boy. Stride Rite didn’t have my youngest son’s size available on their site so I came to Amazon for his size, and I ordered his older brother’s directly from Stride Rite. The shoes that arrived from Amazon are identical in quality when compared to the shoes ordered directly from Stride Rite. They’re extra wide for my fat footed boys and appear to be very well made, just like the first pair I picked up last year. I used the size guide on Stride Rite’s website to help get the correct size and it worked perfectly for us. My boys love their shoes and wore them all day yesterday without complaint. If these shoes don’t hold up the way the first pair did I’ll come back and edit my review. But, I’m very happy with what we received and feel like it was a wise purchase so far.

These shoes are great, my son was gifted his first pair of actual shoes (not crib shoes) and they were Stride Rite Kids Jackson Baby/Toddler Girl's and Boy's Casual Sneaker First Walker Shoe. They fit very nicely and are well made, the sole offers good traction, and they are easy to put on and take off. Since then I bought another pair, this time the Stride Rite Kids' Made 2 Play Owen Sneaker and I really like them, the styling is more like adult shoes and again, it's a well made product that fits him really well. He's going to be wearing Stride Rite shoes a lot over the next few years because they have a lot of nice styles to choose from and this is a company that knows how to make great shoes for kids.

The Velcro no longer works after a few months of use. It’s unfortunate because the shoe itself is still in great condition. We’re still able to use them because they are a tight fit and do not slide off even when the Velcro portion pops up.I did notice with initial use that the width was much narrower than expected however with repeated use it seems to have “broken in” the shoe and it’s much easier to put on.

Love these shoes! My 3.5 yr old boy seems to have flat feet and tends to put more weight on the insides of his feet. These shoes help support the arches and his little legs look straighter. Stride rite sizing guide on their site that is helpful to use to ensure you are getting the right size. This brand is always worth the money.

Very nice shoes for my toddler. I like them and I'm glad that I bought them. However, they are actually really hard to get on the first couple of times. It is getting easier each time we put them on!

The shoe is absolutely wonderful and very well made - should last some time. The only problem with the shoe is that if it comes in a wide width, know ahead of time that a straight, non-wide shoe might be too snug and you should purchase a wide shoe for greater comfort. Once on, the shoe is great. And they look so nappy on our 16-month old great-grandson.

I have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. They're stiff and hard to put on. If they're not put on just right then they are too tight on the top of the foot.On the other hand they are well made and sturdy for our active toddler. He can run, climb, jump, and dance without slipping or losing a shoe.

Really nice shoes. A little narrower and a little less boxy than what I’ve usually bought. Not sure I would order again, however. Grandson has a really wide foot and it can be hard to get foot into shoe not because of width but instep or arch.So if you kids have normal size feet 🤣 these are great shoes.

En general Stride Rite fábrica excelentes zapatos pata niños, siempre me ha gustado su calidad y suavidad para mi bebé, este es el 4 par que compro y no fue la excepción, sin embargo este diseño en particular es muy duro y difícil de colocar, es como si se tratara de una imitación y es por eso que no le doy 5 estrellas, sin embargo el diseño se ve muy bien y están hechos de materiales muy duraderos
