This book is excellent! Very well written
This book is excellent! Very well written, thorough, and the recipes are absolutely delicious. We did the 5-Day Detox and feel great. Lost some weight, of course, but more importantly, meditations are clearer, more clarity in thought and focus, and a higher energy level. I recommend this book to anyone who is serious about using raw food as a detox.

Excellent recipes!
I think this book is a great introduction to eating raw foods, as well as an excellent book for someone who has been eating healthily for years. Written by the founder of a raw food kitchen and delivery service in the UK, here, raw foods mean healthy uncooked vegetarian foods, without animal products or gluten. There are explanatory chapters, and detox regimens, along with a many juices, milks, and smoothies — my favorite is the mango with turmeric. There are also a number of delicious salads, including the rainbow salad with wild rice, with a citrus dressing and caramelized walnuts. In fact, there are a whole range of excellent dressings and sauces, which are worth the price of the book alone. The Thai and tahini sauces are both wonderful and the zucchini hummus is delicious, also. Several recipes are best with a spiralizer, which juliennes vegetables into very fine “noodles,” which can be eaten with dressing, marinated, or lightly pickled (similar to Japanese Tsunomono pickles). I liked that there are a wide variety of desserts, often with ground nut crusts, yum! My family especially loves the chia pudding and the rich chocolate brownie squares. The book is lavishly photographed and as beautiful as any cookbook I’ve seen this year.

A Wake-Up Call for the Tastebuds
We love the very creative suggestions that author Ladra puts forth in helping the reader transform their health by incorporating more raw foods into the daily diet. How about a tabbouleh made using parsnips, tart and quiche recipes that use almond and walnut crusts, a pate created from red beets, a dip that combines herbs, spinach and avodro, or the use of walnuts and sunflower seeds to create a mock tuna for a luncheon salad. This beautiful is beautifully illustrated and goes beyond the usual raw salads to also offer main course, snack and dessert suggestions. The reader may well realize that their tastebuds have been put to sleep by all the processed foods they have been exposed to. But Raw Food Detox for Health and Vitality is sure to wake them up!

This is a great book, the recipes are easy and the juices ...
This is a great book, the recipes are easy and the juices are delicious. When I am on the detox program, I lose inches and the dark circles under my eyes disappear, my skin no longer looks dull. I usually do the 5 day detox program once a month and the rest of the month I drink 3 juices a day to maintain combined with exercise and a healthy balanced diet.

Perfect book - this is exactly what I was looking for!
I am whole foods plant based vegan wanting to explore raw food. I have been looking for a good raw food cookbook to get me started for several weeks now but was put off by most books i'd seen due to the need for a dehydrator. I took a gamble on this book knowing that a dehydrator would be needed for some recipes. The gamble paid off. I love this book and know that i will use it a lot. It is basically broken down into the following sections: detox programmes, juices and smoothies, salads and dressings, mains, snacks, sweets and desserts and finally stockists and suppliers (a list for UK suppliers and one for US suppliers). As i don't want to rely on huge amounts of fruit, the salad recipes were of most interest to me when looking for a book. There are 15 salad recipes and they all look great. Examples are parsnip tabbouleh, sprouted buckwheat salad, rainbow salad with wild rice, sweet potato and courgette salad with arame and bean sprouts and nut crunch salad. There are lots of juice and smoothie recipes and also several pages of great dressings. As for the dehydrator, many of the snacks and desserts require a dehydrator and there is no alternative of course so i wont be able to make those for now. If you have a deydrator, those recipes do look divine. 3 out of ten of the desserts require a dehydrator and 8 out of 11 snacks require one.The detox/ cleansing programmes look very good. Three alternatives: a 5 day food and juice regime, a 5 day juice regime that allows for one large salad, a nut milk and a smoothie per day, and a 3 day juice only regime. In summary i would definitely recommend this book!!

Raw food basics
It's a very easy to follow book, good ideas for meals. I was hoping for more complex meals, these are rather very simple light dishes. It is a nice read in the end, I do not regret buying it, it has some nice sauces I've made and loved. I mostly use it for inspiration.
