Real Twig Encased in Copper Necklace with Handmade Leaves and Freshwater Pearls

~ A Walk In The Woods ~ It begins with twigs found in the woods near my home. Each one is encased in copper through the process of electroforming and is then enhanced with a subtle patina, burnished, and sealed with a skin friendly resin for protection. Twigs are paired with a selection of leaves which have been hand cut from sheets of copper, hand formed with well placed hammer blows, hand textured, and hand colored to evoke the subtle changes of the seasons. The addition of freshwater pearls dyed in the colors of autumn placed in a hand made chain make this necklace a celebration of all that mother nature offers. Because each twig is unique, there is only one necklace just like this one, it is a complete original.
