I've been screwing around with the light sensor sockets you screw into your current socket, and then you screw in a regular bulb, for 10+ years now, and they have never worked properly or lasted very long. I took a shot on these and they worked great. They could be cheaper, but other than that I am very happy with them.Update: I purchased these on Nov 21st, 2018. It is now April 18, 2019. They have been working well, but like my experience with a lot of LED bulbs, one of the three that I put in use has quit working. It has only been 5-months. I will try to update if/when the next failure occurs.

I have 3 outdoor lights. Two at the garage and one under a porch roof at the front door. I was unsure how they would work especially the one covered at the front door. It works TERRIFICALLY! They’ve been up a couple months during winter and they work like a charm. No more flipping the light switch every evening and morning.

I’ve generally had problems with dusk-to-dawn lightbulbs because of the type of decorative fixtures I have on the outside of my house. Apparently, the others were not as sensitive as these bulbs. The bulbs function perfectly. Just screw them in (remember to flip the switch off to prevent a shock.) When you flip the switch “on” after installing the new bulb, it will come on briefly, then go out. (I’m assuming here that you install the bulb in daylight!). Leave the switch on. The bulb takes care of the rest. These bulbs are well worth the money. They certainly aren’t overly bright; just bright enough to deter anyone from prowling around.

I used this bulb in the porch light outside my front door for weeks. I have a horrible commute so it’s still dark when I leave for work and it’s dark when I get back,so I didn’t realize until recently that the bulb was not turning off during the day. I tried all four bulbs but had the same results where they did not sense night from day. I also tried them out back in my outdoor garage lamp but these seem to be just regular light bulbs. Of course it’s too late to return them. Great for the other reviewers as the bulbs seem to work for them but as for me, it looks like I’ve been Amboozled again.

I purchased this item in late November 2019 and they had worked flawlessly since that time until about a week ago when one of the four bulbs stopped working. When I noticed this, I contacted the seller, Boxlood, Inc., explained the situation, and very quickly received a reply from Jennifer. She informed me that these bulbs have a "...2 years warranty [and] for any quality issues, we are willing to assist you with refund or new replacements." I requested a replacement and was subsequently advised by Jennifer that replacement bulbs were being shipped from Amazon and when they would arrive. As promised, the replacement bulbs were received on the specified date. The replacement was a set of two bulbs instead of the originally purchased set of four, but since I was only having an issue with one bulb, I'm fine with that and have no doubt that should any of the other bulbs fail, Jennifer will quickly rectify the situation with this company's excellent customer service. So should you find yourself in automatic dusk-to-dawn bulbs, I highly recommend this product!

I actually ordered these by mistake thinking they were motion detecting lights but decided to keep them. I own a home that I do not live in yet and needed some outside lighting there for when I finish working on it after dark . I put one in on the corner of the garage and it gives out plenty of light for me to lock up and get in my car. I like the fact that it does come on at dusk and goes off at dawn so I don't have to remember to turn it off and on.

These are perfect and so bright!! They don’t seem to be attracting bugs, either! They light up the whole driveway and I love them so far!! I got the cool white color. Totally recommend!

These lights are a great option for any home. These are a good solution without having toreplace the light fixture to get a dusk till dawn feature. They automatically come on when is getting dark and turn off early in the morning. I like the soft yellow color that light up my porch at night. Just need to remember to leave the light switch on position for the dust to dawn bulbs to work.
