The media could not be loaded.  The rod is good for the price, but the review is mostly for the seller Fisherman's World. The first rod I got from them had a defect that caused it to crack these guys immediately sent me a replacement. Now 2.5 years later I accidentally damaged the rod and contacted them about a replacement. I expected to be told that I am out of luck considering it has been 2.5 years and the rod is broken to my own negligence. They told me to send it in and they will see what they can do for me. Even if they end up not doing anything for me after all, the fact that they would even bother with me after such a long period warrants a 5 star review. They have really gone above and beyond.I have attached a video of a fish I caught with this rod.

I've been reading, hearing, and watching videos about this rod for a while and settled for cheaper rods until now. This rod is a beast, can handle big fish with ease yet so sensitive I've been hooking smaller fish also since it's so sensitive. It cast a mile, super light. Everytime people see me casting they ask what reel I'm using. I tell them is the rod. Casting plugs 100 yards has never been so easy. Can use it all day to cast lures, twitch, jigging, popping topwaters etc. It can cast 1oz to 3oz superbly. I finally could cast past that sandbar that could not even reach before with my other rods. I paired it with a Shimano UIltrega xtd 5500 with 30lb braid. But It could use a 4000 model very well. Have caught big jacks, bull reds, snook from shore and jetties.

I paired this rod with the Tsunami Shield and already had it out on the rocks battling Gator Blues and Stripers. It is great casting and I've been throwing 1.25 oz. plugs quite a distance in pretty strong winds. While I've seen plenty of broken rods and people crawling down rocks with gaffs to retrieve their fish, I had absolutely little problems swinging 10 to 15 lbs. Blues up onto the rocks. The 70/30 breakdown of this rod gives this two piece rod more of an action of a one piece. With the price as it is makes it my primary Jetty Stick leaving that expensive Lamiglas and Van Staal to be fished strictly and safely on the sand.

Excellent surf rod! The item was very securely shipped in a reinforced box and nicely wrapped in the time frame promised. I have used the rod once to compare it to my other surf rods and it did well. The 11 foot rod is longer in the handle than ten footers and the action is medium so there is some whip verses a heavy action rod that may be stiffer on the cast. However, this is a great bang for the buck compared to custom rods that cost triple the price of this one. I highly recommend this to novice thru expert surf casters!

Played 1 to 8lb. blues like a dream. No bass yet. No complaints except more betterif split was 50/50 instead of 70/30 for transport. Don't always use my 4wheel.When I compared it to one of the $3-400.00 custom models; my opinion: Same. Don'tsay anything cause the guys might raise the price.Changed review:The end of the 2016 season the rod developed a fracture in front of the reel seat. Not sure if it's thru and thru the blank.Contacted Bimini Bay Outfitters in New Jersey. They are the Warrantors. Not one reply after 2 e-mails with picture.Not nice Bimini....The end for Airwave with me.No fault with Fishermen's Source . They are great.

The bottom part snapped and I didn't use it that much. It is a porly designed rod where the top part of the rod slides up after using it a while. The 1/3 bottom, 2/3 top design was annoying to fit in my car. A 50/50 split would have been better.I would have gotten more wear out of a cheap pair of sneakers.

Love this rod for surf casting. Throws the lure a mile, strong enough to bring in whatever you hook up with. Very happy with this purchase
