It works but it's hard as a rock.
It can be an effective flux. But the only real use case I've found for it is saturating desoldering wicks and to do so I have to stick my soldering iron into the flux container to melt it first because it's simultaneously so hard that you need a screwdriver to scrape some off of it and yet unlike most phlox once it's been used on something it doesn't turn into a hard shell that can be chipped off easily no it stays almost exactly the same very hard but slightly tacky consistency requiring significant manual effort to remove.
