A lot of people here are complaining that the hover board they orderred from here doesn't really hover, but mine does. Maybe I just got lucky. The only drawback is that it doesn't work on water, unless you got power.

Ready for October 21st 2015
The hover board is exactly as expected.- thickness and size seem to be on par with what I expected a life-size replica hover board to be- high resolution stickers on the top, bottom, and along the sides- velcro-like grip for foot placement both front (two pink strips) and rear (green pad)- the pink foot strap seems loose. Loose enough to fit an Air Mag shoe but had to stuff the strap into the green pad to make it minimally stick out when no shoe is presentMust have for any Back to the Future collector! And for any Bojo's out there... No, this board doesn't hover.

How to deal with your new hoverboard, and jazz it up a bit
I love the Fun Costumes response to the question, "Will it fly?" "If you throw it!" There must be a lot of double digit (single digit?) IQ people buying things on the internet... Now, re the gizmo itself... Here's a chance to get a very nice replica of the Hover Board and not get totally ripped off because it doesn't have the Mattel logo. Want the Mattel logo? Just do a google search under images, snag one, and print it yourself. Laminate it or cover it with Krylon Crystal Clear, glue it on, and Bob's your uncle. The folks who whine about bubbles on the large decals front and back? Duhhhh. Get a sewing needle, dot the bubble causing offense, and smooth it out with your thumb nail. For mine, I'm going to cover the rim with EL (electroluminescent) wire and make a tech looking box to hide the bottom BTTF copyright crap and install the controller there. EL wire is readily available on Amazon. You "mint in box" people will need to buy two if you want verisimilitude as well as collectability.. Stand on it? Why? It isn't going to fly because of violations to physical laws numerous and sundry! The stupidity of some people is almost beyond belief. But with it slung over your shoulder (screw and glue a few guitar strap connectors, or just carry the sucker) as part of your Marty Mc Fly costume. It'll be the hit of this year's Halloween party! And by way of appreciation for my excellent advice, and getting your kharma straight, send a few bucks to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's foundation. (And for the truly gullible, be sure and check the Hovrtech advert on YouTube.) Keep on truckin'! Hoverin'? ;)

Mixed feelings about this one
So on the one hand I am a huge Back To The Future fan and so it definitely ticks the box of a cool collectible as it sits in the corner of my office. Although it does initially look cool, it is not the greatest quality. Essentially it is a chunk of cheap, hollow plastic with stickers stuck to it. The sticking is disappointing because you can see the imperfections of the plastic underneath the stickers that cover the top and bottom, screw holes etc. So when you actually pick it up and inspect it, it looks rather cheap and to me, $50 is not cheap. I would say that this is prob about $25 worth of kit jacked up to $50 because BBTF lovers will pay that much for it.So overall I would say if you are a die hard fan, then yes, buy it but just be aware that it is not great quality and then you won't be disappointed when you unbox it.

NOT 1:1 scale OR made by Mattel! Smaller than movie versions DEFINITELY not worth more than $40 new.
Terrible sticker job but still worth it! Going to customize mine to do away w the stickers. It's also 6” smaller in length and 2” smaller in width than the movie scale versions and the repro from Mattel but only noticeable from the bottom of board when looking at the spaces between the discs. The mounting hardware is much smaller and different than the Film and Mattel version, much smaller. and the The hover discs are smaller in scale too, closer together making the mounting brackets half the scale size as the movie and Mattel versions. I still love it but just not worth more than $40. I feel they should be $34.99 - $39.99 and that’s it. It’s like they saw the Mattel versions and priced them high because of it.The Mattel Hover boards are night and day better and come with the entire handle bar set, it’s painted and not cheap stickers and pink plastic.

Childhood fantasy come true, minus the hovering part.
This is a great item. I really, really enjoy it. For 50 bucks you cannot complain. Great replica piece. Has some weight to it too which is nice. The foot strap comes sticks out too much at first. You can shove it into the green disc as shown in my pics and achieve the optimal length. This looks so great in the man cave. If you're thinking about it, just get it. You will be happy. My sticker came applied fairly well. Some bubbles, but nothing that takes away from it. Most of them I could press out anyway. I've uploaded some good pics in good lighting to help others get a better idea of the quality.

Bought this to go with a costume for "Back to the Future day" last year. Real fans I think appreciated the attention to detail with all the accessorize with the costume. The hover board really is sort of essential to the completed look. The decals have started to peel away a bit BUT it has been stored in our garage where there is high humidity down here in FL

Poor product.
So very disappointed with this item, I've wanted a hoverboard for my collection for a long time now, saw this, and in the advert pics looked really good, unfortunately when it turned up and was opened and checked, I found glue in the strap which there was no way of removing, and the stickers where so badly applied that there is bubbling and creases everywhere, as the picture's show that I have added to this review.Such a shame, it has potential to be a great replica but it seems no effort has been put into production

Cheap and nasty
Don’t bother !!!! It’s just a cheap piece of plastic with very badly stuck stickers on it. The stickers are so bad, creases and air bubbles all over them. Would have been better if you’d stick them on yourself as at least you’d take some care. Complained to seller who said they had a bad batch From manufacturer ? In that case why send them out to customers if you know theyre faulty ! Even if the stickers were stuck neater it’s not worth the £50 price , truly awful item

such a shame no care was taken in applying the sticker on the top of this, I'd much rather they sent it with the sticker separate for me to apply as it's bubbled and in one place torn and repaired with sellotape. from a distance it looks Ok but there's no reason for the sloppy work.

Decal is very badly applied!
Firstly it is a great item for the price. Pretty damn close to the movie prop. However... The decals have to be some of the most poorly applied decals I've ever seen. They are truly awful. I've used heat and a felt squeegee to try and rectify as best as possible. The decals can't even be removed to try and re stick, as they de laminate and tear. It is a great shame and a major let down for what is a great prop. I've never seen one from this company that doesn't have this issue. Really sloppy, careless workmanship. That said, it looks fantastic in my display case with my Nike Mags.

“Don’t work on water”
Essential for any BTTF fan, looks the part, no air bubbles with the decal, absolutely spot except for Mattel stickers.
