C10L-AP Lid for LIPAVI C10 Sous Vide Container, with cut-out for the Anova Precision immersion circulator

Overpriced
The only difference between this cover at $29+ and one from mt local restaurant supply is the $20 I paid for the cut out. While precision cut & finished, essentially the same thing can be done with a Dremel tool or a hole saw and coping saw and some fine sandpaper. This cut out is also close enough dimensionally for the Gourmia GSV150. If you have the tools, save your money. Fits Cambro GN1/1 Camtainer, but genuine Cambro lids fit a little better. I would not buy this or smaller size again . . . DIY might not be as pretty, but will work just fine. Will also permit different placement of the opening.

Does not fit First Generation Anova Precision out of box
I have no complaints about the product, I just wanted to give a heads up. If you have the first generation Anova Precision Immersion Circulator (2015 model, simple LCD display, no WIFI/Bluetooth support) be aware that the unit itself is wider than the opening cut in the lid by a few millimeters. You will need to widen the cut yourself if you are not planning to buy a whole new Anova unit as a replacement.

Fits the C5 with Anovo well, as advertised.
I purchased this for use with the C5 Sous Vide Container. We're new to sous-vide and getting the matching lid seemed a lot easier then messing with the balls and other means of covering the container to prevent water loss. We use an Anovo precision cooker with it and this lid is custom-fit for that. The longest cooking we've done so far are ribs for 12 hours and 165F and have had no issues with water level. I bought the inside rack for it as well, so I don't use clips to hold the bag up (which would interfere with the lid sealing) but I do flop the tops of the ziploc bags out between the container and the lid so they aren't underwater to leak, and the lid still fits sufficiently that way.My main complaint for this lid is the cost. The lid is great but the container itself is almost the same price as the lid, but much less material, so I feel like they're price gouging a captive audience a bit. The C5 container itself is so small especially with the rack in it, that I'm not sure using the floating balls would even leave you room for your food. As I mentioned in my C5 container review, in hindsight I should have gotten the C10 as the C5 is pretty small even while cooking for two.

Sadly, not well made
This lid warped early-on, sous vide-ing at 165°F, and now it lifts off the rim near on the end with the slot. It still works somewhat and I'm not going to start using plastic wrap again, but it's sad that it isn't made out of thicker, stronger material with reinforcements to prevent warping.

but it seems to take the heat just fine. I bought this in conjunction with its matching ...
Hardly the most romantic item, this is a polycarbonate lid for a polycarbonate container. I haven't undertaken to testing the strength properties of polycarbonate, but it seems to take the heat just fine. I bought this in conjunction with its matching container and rack, as well as the Anova cooker, a vacuum sealer, and several rolls of bagging material. Assembled with the container, rack, and cooker, it makes a handsome statement on my kitchen counter. Most importantly, this lid keeps the water and heat in. It fits easily into place, and can be removed just as readily to place and remove the food.

Would have been better to have a hinge model as the overall length ...
Works for my setup, but not ideal. Would have been better to have a hinge model as the overall length gets in the way in small/limited spaces when it comes time to removing large pieces of meat from the cooking bath. Otherwise functions great and minimizes/prevents water loss due to evaporation. Other factors that prevented it from receiving 5 stars was; 1) its overall cost relative to its accompanying container, LIPAVI C20, 2) It's fitment onto the same C20 container. Had lots of air gap that accumulated water droplets from water evaporation during the SV cooking cycle that would leak onto the kitchen counter creating a puddled mess. Yes, easy to clean up, and with the use of clips (clothes pin, paper clips, chip clips, etc.) was easy to remedy, but annoying none the less.

It's an overpriced lid.
Does it's job I guess. Can't wait for someone less greedy to cut a hole in a plastic bin to accommodate the Anova.

Great companion for the Lipavi C20 container. A must have.
Made to fit perfectly with the Lipavi C20 container. The cutout is perfect for the Anova sous vide. If you have the C20 container, you need this lid too. A bit pricy for what it is, but it works great to help keep the heat and evaporation in when sous viding using the C20 container.

Stops evaporation, causes rattle.
Virtually stops all evaporation so no more misted kitchen windows or extractor fan on.Expensive for what it is but polycarbonate (what police riot shield are made of) isn't cheap.Only slight issue is when it gets up to temperature the lid flexes from the heat, combined with the gentle hum of the machine makes for a high pitched rattling noise. (Using Anova)A simple fix is just to have something ontop to hold it down to stop the rattle (mug etc)

Expensive but worthwhile
In this case, you pay for quality and usefulness. The custom cut means paying a price, however in my view fully worthwhile. We immediately noticed how much evaporation was reduced and how temperature was maintained thanks to this lid. Helps reduce costs and avoids using cling film.

You really need one for success.
An absolute essential for successful Sous Vide cooking, and of very good quality.

a good fit
A perfect fit for the matching sous vide tank. It efficiently prevents water evaporation and can be used to secure the plastic bags of food while they are being sous vided.
