The shampoo comes in a recyclable tube and has a runny consistency and an almost clear colour with a hint a yellow. It smells of Blackcurrent when you open the tube, a really nice and fruity smell, it is very pleasant and after use our dog smelled really nice.One thing to note is on the back of the tube it says that it can cause eye irritation so you have to be really careful especially if like our dog she has some eye issues at the moment, it's just something to really be aware of and is why I have not given it a full five stars.Our dog does have sensitive skin and often when she comes back from the groomers she can't stop itching and her skin goes red. We have also used shampoos previously that have caused her to itch and scratch constantly. I have to say we have had no issues using this, she has not been scratching at all, she has no no ill effects from using it and when she has been bathed in it she has been able to lay down and go to sleep without constantly scratching.It is a very good shampoo that smells nice, is easy to bath the dog with due to the runny consistency and also it is very kind to sensitive skin. My only reservation would be that you have to be careful with the warning on the bottle not to get any in their eye or yours if they decide to shake after being bathed.I would recommend this shampoo especially if your dog has sensitive skin or has had reactions to other shampoos.

Penny, our Patterdale suffers with sensitive skin and if we use the wrong product has a tendency to gnaw her back leg.My partner finds this much more distressing than Penny does and is constantly fretting about it.So we have tried several sensitive pet shampoos with varying degrees of success.This 200ml tube (£9.99 at time of review) has been one of the more successful ones, made of Aloe Vera, Blackcurrant and St Johns Wort. The tube is made with sustainable sugar cane , I have no idea how though, at least its not another plastic.It is one of a range of products that all contain organic and ethically produced ingredients specifically made for your pet.It smells lovely when you apply it (and she does too for a day or two) after a bath.She can be a fruity character so it seems appropriate for her to small a little fruity on occasion as well.This lathers up well enough and you dont need very much but then again Penny isn’t exactly a big dog (dont tell her I said that!)Her coat is soft after a bath (It isn’t normally) and she leaves her leg alone for a day or two, which keeps my wife happy.There is a question over this being an eye irritant so be careful where your dogs eyes are concerned and I am sure you will like at much as we do! Recommended.

I cant say this really has any scent to it, it is very mild and in our case i think this was better for the experience of our dog. No strong smells to over excite her.It lathered up well second time around (but she was in dire need of a bath!) so two goes was gonna be needed no matter hwat shampoo.I didn't really notice a difference in her coat until she was thoroughly dry but the next day she was soft and sparkling!.I noticed a real softness to her coat, being a Rottweiler her coat can feel a bit coarse sometimes and a bit rough underhand, this shampoo has made a massive difference and i was able to run my hand easily up and down her coat, without it feeling rough or standing up as i went against the growth. Really good shampoo and i would definitely order again.Also noticed with this shampoo, her natural odours don't seem to be battling to get back out lol, usually within a day or two she is back to her stinky (but lovely) self, this time round she doesn't seem to be smelling as much as usual.The shampoo arrived on time and adequately packaged.I hope you find this review helpful.

The media could not be loaded.  This is the third shampoo I have tried from Beaphar’s range, and this one doesn’t disappoint either. It’s a very high-quality dog shampoo made from premium ingredients: organically produced aloe vera, St John's wort and blackcurrant. It also doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients that might irritate your dog’s skin or dry its fur out such as parabens, silicones or colourants, and it is pH balanced.The shampoo is clear, and spreads easily on to my dog’s fur. It only lathers slightly, but enough to see where you’ve put it. It cleans muddy legs and tummies very well and has a mild but pleasant fragrance. It leaves my dogs’ short hair beautifully soft and shiny and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this or any of the other shampoos from the same premium range if you want the best for your dog’s skin and fur. It’s not the cheapest shampoo on the market, but you get what you pay for!
