Worked well for a while now no longer charges
I set this camera up in the garden and all was fine it kept charging and then last week it failed to charge from the solar panel as normal I plugged it into a charge and it charged up but when back out side the solar panel seems to have failed

Quality product ordering another
Easy to install. Sharp image. Motion detected works well as does the night vision. Battery charge needs full sun on solar. Fixed position but wide angle lens.

Should have done more research...

Good to have, not perfect.
It was hard to rate this Security cam as it was my first. I couldn’t really compare. I didn’t know what to expect in terms of performance. What I do know is having used for some weeks I found myself wanting more from the device. I like solar devices that also use batteries for back to ensure more stability but I am not feeling the power of the solar system, i end up charging battery often. The camera quality is ok for a Security cam but could use some more improvement. The app works great but previewing files is frustrating. It records in blocks of 15 seconds and would cut off even if someone is at the door. It would respond to fresh movement by the person and then start recording again skipping a few seconds. For example when previewing the recordings I notice the Amazon delivery guys walking towards the door and it cuts off. The next clip will probably show him already walking away. So it missed out the part where they drop off. This is when camera mode is set to fastest. At medium you won’t even see them walk to your door. You might just see their truck driving away. No idea of what they dropped off or who it was. So at fastest even though it records more often the files sizes are small and a 16GB would probably last months before getting filled up. On the other, it is quite frustrating to preview the 15secs files as it downloads or buffers 0-100 before playing back. Going through a couple of them this way can be a nightmare. You can watch camera live via your phone in real-time to see what’s going on but for evidence purposes you can only pray the camera gets the useful part. For now it is better than nothing, Also due to the need to charge battery often you might want to install where you can easily have access. Also you want to have it where your audio can be heard. Speaking of audio, the sound was pretty loud and decent which is good. You hold down the Mic symbol on the app to speak. Overall it is good to have.

Doesn't work as described . For the money it's a piece of garbage!
Junk! This item does nothing as describe . For starters it was missing the SD card, than I read directions to set it up. Directions pretty easy An straight forward . They say to charge fully before use an it take 6 to 8 hours, so I noticed the battery was already at 3/4 of the way full. I plugged it in over night ( which was 8 hours) An seen the battery never moved. Left it plugged in for another 6 hours an it went from 82% to 86% . Long story short it took 2 days to charge it to 99% an I finally just installed it to its location. The camera has a horrible picture def not 1080p day or night, night view is foggy. The sensor no matter how high or low you set the sensitive on on the App it changes nothing , the sensor sends false notifications to your phone constantly , wind makes the sensor trigger. Mic sucks, so much feedback no matter how far away from the camera you are there is a loud feedback, you can not hear the person talking, and they can not hear you, video is delayed by about 20 seconds , sensor is delayed about 30 seconds from the trigger notification so if your using this camera for security your house will be broken into easily , thief will be in an out before you get notified . I bought this camera together as a package with the door bell for $146. An change An the door bell is just as crappy . Oh An the wifi signal is week also. Tech support says it's my router... no it's not because every device I own ( laptop, phones, tablets, ipad) all work perfectly with full wifi signal from the same location the camera an doorbell were. I even took it a step further an went out An bought a wifi extender thinking it may help...nope! It strengthened the wifi signal a bit but it didn't fix the issues with either camera . I will be returning the system tomorrow for a refund. Bottom line is it's junk do not waste your time or money buying thus camera !I'll also note this is my 3rd camera system I've purchased and returned on Amazon .. my thought is they are all the same quality !

Solar panel nice, but agonizingly slow to review recordings. Image quality at night is poor
I’ve tried out a few different battery-operated, wireless cameras, and they’ve all had various pluses and minuses. The cameras have mostly all been roughly equivalent in image quality, and they’ve all had night vision and were resistant enough to water to be exposed to heavy rain. Typically, what sets these cameras apart are the apps, battery life, design choices, and included accessories. Some come with micro sd cards, others don’t. Some have a threaded ¼” hold on the back of the unit, others on the bottom. This camera comes with a 32gb Sandisk micro sd card. It’s not one of the higher end Sandisk cards, but it seems to be good enough. It also comes with a mount that screws into the back of the unit. I prefer the mounting hole to be on the bottom, but in this case it’s fine because the mount that was included was designed in such a way so as to be able to be mounted to a horizontal surface if desired. It’s one of the better mounts. What is likely to set this camera apart from most others is the included solar panel. The panel does work, but its effectiveness is going to depend on location (how much sun it gets) and settings – mainly how sensitive you have your motion alerts. I have a decent location, though it could certainly be better. When alerts were set at the most sensitive, I was getting a lot of alerts. I’m not sure if this is due to changes in light setting off the alerts or plants blowing in the wind. It definitely wasn’t due to human or animal motion. I’m dialing back the sensitivity, so I’ll have to see how that goes. The battery dropped from 100% overnight, when I set it up, to 91% the next day around 5pm. The app says that the camera is charging, so the panel must be doing something, but either it charges too slowly or the amount of alerts is draining the battery too quickly. Hopefully there is a sweet spot where the panel is mostly able to keep up with the drain but the sensitivity isn’t so low as to be useless. I’m not hopeful of that due to such a significant drain over such a short period of time, but who knows.Minor update: At 5pm the following day, the battery stood at 94%. So dialing back the alerts must have done the trick as the battery not only didn’t drain further but it actually increased its charge.Minor update 2: The following two days, it held steady at 90%.Despite the battery draining issues, there is one plus to the battery. It is removeable. You can unscrew the bottom of the camera, which is also where you insert the memory card, and you can take the battery out, which you can charge inside. For my other cameras, I have to bring out a power bank on a day when I know it won’t rain, which is kind of a hassle. I did have some initial issues with the battery, though. It was dead when it arrived. When I first tried charging it, there was a blue light on and then a red light that flashed. I let it charge overnight, but it turns out that it didn’t charge at all. I don’t know if this battery didn’t like the cable or charger that I was using. I used the one for my phone, so I know the charger and cable work, but they did not seem to work with this battery. I grabbed a different cable and used a different charger, and instead of a red flashing light, I had a solid red light. When the red light turned off, after 6 or 7 hours, maybe, the battery was fully charged and worked in the camera.Setting up the camera was easy. This initial process is kind of loud as the camera speaks to you, and there is no volume control. I covered the speaker with something so that it wouldn’t be so disturbing. After I downloaded the app and registered, I was able to pair the camera to my phone and input my wireless ssid and password. As far as the image quality is concerned, I’m a little disappointed. I think it’s a little worse than the other cameras I have. It’s not so bad as to be useless and is probably good enough during the daytime, but the night vision, I think, is not very good. The image is quite fuzzy and muddy. What really bothers me about this camera, though, is the app. For the most part, it’s easy to use and relatively intuitive. It doesn’t have a lot of features, but it’s OK in most respects. The problem is that it is agonizingly slow in viewing the videos. You click on the video to play, and this circle pops up and then it takes far too long for it to “download” and start playing. It takes forever to review the recordings. Now, I don’t think the videos are actually downloading, so I’m not sure what is going on there. You can download videos, and when you press that icon, it says “download complete.” As for finding the recordings on your phone, check the DCIM folder. My other cameras create their own folder, so it’s easy to find the videos and pictures that I take, but this one does not. I had to go digging around. There’s no documentation that explains how to use the app, which is typical of these cameras, but some guidance would be useful.Having a camera that takes as long as this one does to review the videos makes me not want to use it. I like a lot of what is going on with this package, but a camera needs to do two specific things well: it has to take good enough videos (and hopefully not miss any of the important action) and it has to be possible to easily review the videos. It certainly takes videos, and during the daytime they are probably good enough, but considering how painful it is to review them, I would recommend getting a different camera instead.
