This is another beautiful Cave shooter for the PS2. SPECIAL NOTE-You will need a way to play this import game as it will not work on a US PS2.

The last DDP game of the old arcade era, and the best Dodonpachi game of the entire series. Excellent port.

DoDonPachi DaiOuJou is a vertically scrolling shmup from developer CAVE. As with other games in the DonPachi series, you shoot enemies, chaining their destruction into each other, and dodge bullets to survive.New to the DonPachi series in this version are Hypers. These amplify your firepower for short amounts of time, in addition to giving a moment of safely by clearing the screen of bullets. Hypers are also very beautiful to watch, with neon cannon fire or gigantic lasers everywhere.Enemy chaining is back, and just as difficult to execute as always. In DonPachi games, when you destroy several enemies back-to-back, they add to a "chain" worth more points. Fail to destroy something and the chain resets. It is possible to fully chain the levels from start to end, however only the most dedicated players will pull it off.Graphics are very nice and a solid step up from DoDonPachi, which was already a good looking game. Bullets are very bright and stand out well from the background, making them easy to spot and track. I also tried out tate mode, a screen option for people with rotated displays, which works well and looks fantastic.In addition to the arcade game, this disc also includes a boss rush, also called "Death Label". If you want to die fast, Death Label lives up to the name.

360版とPS2版両方やった者です。どちらを買うか迷ってる方に簡単に言うと「いろんなゲームやっててこのゲームもやってみたい」方や「360とアケコンがあってPS2がない」方は360版を、「怒首領蜂大往生をクリアしたい」「本気でやりたい」方や「360も持ってるけどPS2もある」「アケコンがない」方にはPS2版をオススメします。ゲーム自体には違いはあまりないはずです。むしろ360版の方が黒版やＸモードも追加されていて華やかな出来です。しかし、トレーニングモードの充実性、簡潔性、細かいところは音量やオプションの項目配置などについては、圧倒的にPS2版がよくできています。ただし全体的に地味です。ちなみにデスレーベルの難度を見物したくて買われる方には360版をオススメします。そういった方はデスレーベルだろうと1周目の3面だろうと同じことなので、初心者もはちゃめちゃできるＸモードも付いている360版の方がより楽しめるはずです。大往生と長く付き合いたい方に、PS2版をオススメします。毎日毎日死んで、永遠に近い生き地獄を一緒に楽しみましょう！

東方の弾幕シューティングが好きだったので買ってみたんですが・・・難しい・・・難しすぎますwwwwwwこのゲームは数ある弾幕シューティングの中でも屈指のなんいどだと思います。特に2週目は本当に人間のやるものなのか？と疑ったほどです。しかしパターンを頭の中で構築すれば行けないこともない絶妙な難易度でもあります。シューティングに自信のある人はぜひ・・・またこのゲームには「デスレーベル」というおまけモードが存在しますがこれの2週目をクリアした人は数えるほどしかいません。クリアすればあなたは神になれるかもしれませんよwww

難しいゲームですがつい何度もトライしたくなるそんなゲームです。

アーケードと違い利点は当たり前だけど何回もお金を気にしないでプレイ出来る事（すぐ死ぬから）音楽が楽しめる事！　スザク戦とコウリュウ戦（第二体型）の曲が好き！

ぱっと見「初心者お断り」の雰囲気ですが極小のあたり判定のため敵弾に特攻しても意外となんとかなったりします。それでも「難しい」という方には「敵弾無し」モードもあります。他にも細かい設定で開始するモードやボスのみでてくるモードなど至れりつくせりで遊べます。特筆すべきはオマケでついてくるＤＶＤです。鬼神の如きプレイ(1面でのフルコンボ等)は一見の価値ありです。初心者からマニアまで満足できると思います。欲を言えば縦型画面で遊べば言うこと無しです。
