Plant Protein Meal Replacement Shake, Gluten-Free Vegan, 14 oz, 20g Protein, 7 Flavor Variety Sampler Pack

This is a small mix box of Soylent to try if you want to taste the best of their flavors. I thought this was the 14oz bottles by mistake, but not a big deal since I love this drink. I have one every morning for breakfast because it fills me up enough for a meal and none of the flavors are overly sweet. Other protein or meal replacement drinks are too sweet to even finish the drink, let alone enjoy it. I love these and highly recommend all of the flavors!

First of all, some reviewers have complained about the price for 7. You CAN buy the 12 bottle variety pack direct from Soylent. Wherever you buy it, it's worth getting the variety pack or buying a single bottle to try the flavors. There were flavors that i thought I would love and didn't. There are flavors I thought I would hate, and I love them.I don't like the vanilla, but I'm not a fan of vanilla protein shakes. The chocolate is good. I don't usually like chocolate shakes, but this was good.(Not sure I will buy the chocolate again). If you like chocolate, you might love this one. I normally love banana flavored foods. The banana is just "ok". I won't order again. I saved the strawberry for last because I was not looking forward to it after reading a comment that it tastes like nestle strawberry milk. I LOVED the strawberry. It was definitely a big surprise. It has a very mild taste, which I prefer. The coffee flavors are fantastic (especially the mocha). (I have not tried the gingerbread). Hands down the biggest surprise was the chocolate mint. That was my favorite. I highly recommend getting the variety pack. These drinks are very easy to drink and transport. I have one post workout. I have celiac disease, and these make it very easy for me to fuel up after a workout without having the stress of finding GF snacks. I am going to try the bars next. They are smooth drinks with no after taste. Give them a try!

Delivery was fast and flavor is so far so good.Just wanted to put a review up that if you buy this variety pack, make sure to check the best by dates. I know you can probably go past, but don't wait around for a while to try these, most of the ones I got expire within a month or two. A couple are Feb 2022, but double check and make sure you don't just shelve them with the expectation you've got a year to use them.

Most protein shakes, particularly non-dairy ones, have a chalky taste and texture to them. I'd tried Owyn in the past, which does have a higher amount of protein per bottle, and found them to be so extremely chalky that I couldn't finish the box I bought. When I tried this variety pack, I started off with the "cafe" flavored ones and found them not chalky at all. Much to my surprise. However, when I moved onto the non-coffee ones, I did find them more chalky, but still barely chalky in comparison to others. the strawberry flavor, perhaps as to be expected, was disgusting and so artificial tasting. Original tastes like nothing at all. Cacao is the best of the non-coffee ones. The cafe mocha was my overall favorite.Overall these are pretty good for a non-dairy protein drink. I've been drinking them in addition to meals instead of as replacements and I have gained weight, so they do their job.

These taste horrible. Some flavors are ok- the coffee/mocha and chocolate ones are alright, and the mint one is fine. The texture makes me gag. They are easy nutrition for someone who has trouble eating/remembering meals, though.

It's a shame because these taste great and are filling, but will have you running to the bathroom within 20 minutes and a few more times throughout the day. Searched online and found it should subside but after 3 days I had enough and tossed the rest. Apparently this is a known issue with this product, and they had to do recalls of other products because of how sick it made people. Sketchy. Considering you can't get a refund on this item, don't risk it.
