Fit is fantatic, the color is great for dressing up or down. So comfortable to wear. Would buy again.

Darlings, no one likes muffin tops or rolldown jeans that slouch their waistband down your stomach. Not all of us have flat physiques on par with Rihanna or many a Hollywood or Olympic star, much as we might like. Covid doesn't translate into time to workout for those of us practicing our sourdough starters, stuck inside from working out, or welded to our desks as essential workers on a salary. So, that much said, these are the most forgiving of jeans, and rejoice, because they aren't stinting for tall ladies, curvy ladies, or ladies who like colour in their pants.I've never heard of Democracy Jeans before, and frankly the wanderings through Amazon Wardrobe brought me here out of chance. Having a bootcut jean long enough for my 35" inseam is difficult, let alone a dark wash AND one without an obnoxious low rise. The waist-to-hip ratio I have is also difficult, since jeans that fit the widest part of me rarely fit the narrowest point without that irritating slip-down. Enter the Absolution; I don't know who designed them but they had my proportions and issues in mind. For one, they're stretchy, which is appreciated when weight fluctuates (especially at certain times of the month). The gossamer length of the front panels holds you in without obviously feeling like maternity wear or something, and the smooth lines fit beautifully for a mid-rise jean that stays where it ought to be. The waistband lies below the belly button and stays smoothly fitted no matter where you prance.And the length. Hello length. I can actually wear a jean at a proper length. If you're short, you may want to get the sample pair from Wardrobe because there could be a need for hemming. For once, I feel like the jean is made for height. I love how the leg remains fitted but not stovepipe or ultra skinny through the thigh, sweeping in a flattering arc out from the knee in a small bootcut that can accommodate hiking boots or equestrian boots with equal ease. I've tested both just to be sure. They're not a fully done flare, but the definition is there.Colours vary; I chose indigo (twice, actually), because the dark, rich ultramarine pops without getting anywhere near black. These jeans have zero whiskering, fades, ombre, or tears, and other such nonsense that interrupts the rich, lavish colour I want. Dark trouser jeans are acceptable at the office, ragged acid wash rejects from 1981 most definitely aren't, but I can get away with these and feel professional and stylish. Any additions are modest, retreating to a deep brass finish in the small pocket studs. I don't like a lot of bling on my jeans, and these provide the minimal necessary.I haven't found a reason to complain. They are thinner; if you want to wear a heavy-weight jean on a cold day, slap a thermal layer or a pair of leggings under them for extra care. However, in all other ways, they hit the bar for me.

I have not had such comfortable jeans which fits me so perfect for years! Thanks to its elastic waist line and the stretchy fabric, I think it will look great on any body shapes. The regular length is still a bit too long for me but with heels it is perfect! So make sure you check out the measurements if you want to order long. I got it also at sales price and hope other colors/lengths will have the same price!

These fit as expected for their sizes - I purchased a size 6 and 8 since many reviews said to size down. Wish I wouldn't have - I actually wish I had ordered a size UP to see how the 10s would have fit.Pros:• Very flattering on me• Correct length and fit• Plenty of stretchCons:• Finish has some pokey bits that felt scratchy - if you're highly sensitive to things like this (like me), they would drive you nuts if you tried to wear them all day• Fairly thin - I could see underwear lines through them easily and they didn't necessarily feel like wearing "jeans"• Crotch area was too confining - I like a little room down there, especially for sitting down and being comfortable. These were too "up in there" in that area even when standing, so again, wouldn't recommend if you're sensitive to this type of thing.Overall, if you're usually able to throw on anything and be comfortable, these will probably be awesome for you, as they're much more stretchy and flattering than many jeans. If you're more sensitive, there are a couple of things that you may not like. I would NOT recommend sizing down.

Very happy with the price I paid for these beautiful jeans. They have a stretch, but they don't stretch out a lot when you are wearing them like some other stretch jeans that bag out throughout the day. The waistband is nice and thick and gives you some tummy control.They have a great slimming affect, and are very comfortableThe color is true to the picture .The length is a little long for me even though I am 5'7"but with short legs.I will hem just a bit so they fit perfect.

I gave these 3 stars because I like the fit of the jeans, but they have a horrible chemical smell that will not go away. I wish I had returned them. I thought the smell would go away but I’ve washed them several times and it’s still very strong. I got these jeans in another color a while ago and did not have this issue, so I’m not sure if it’s new or just this color. It’s unpleasant.

These jeans for perfection. They stretch in all the right places but hold their shape throughout the day. They’re soft and a great color. My only complaint was that they are super long. I’m 5’6” so I don’t usually have an issue with jeans being too long. I cut these to the right length and have a raw hem which is totally fine.

Absolutely love these jeans. They are good quality and very comfortable, also very flattering. I’d say they are true to size.
