Purchased these recently after having bought a single smart plug of the same brand previously. These are great value - they're solid and sturdy and small. They easily fit into my cable management box which I now use to house my, often messy, cables and extension plugs. Also, they don't look out of place directly on a plug socket so I am now starting to place them everywhere in the house in order to fully automate the devices which we would like to control by app when away from the home or by voice when at home. I like their new look too... more curvaceous and in a nice ivory colour. The size of them also makes them ideal for fitting onto extension plugs side-by-side, you will just need to check the distance between the plugs before purchasing that just to be sure.Integration with the recommended app is simple. Plug in the smartplug and pair it up with the (excellent) Smart Life accompanying app. This will allow you to be able to control the turning on/off the plugs from your mobile, set up schedules and timers, etc... Going a step further, add the Smart Life "skill" to the Alexa app, which will allow Alexa to be able to see the device and effectively allow you to voice control it, which is what I have done. I can now voice control my smart plugs and other devices via my Amazon Show device. The great thing about Smart Life is that it is used by so many IoT (smart) devices. I have plugs of different brands, ceiling lights, LED strip lights and bulbs all on that app. So, schedules can be set, timers, automated settings, etc...A great set of plugs and they work out as better value when the four are purchased.

I've become a bit of a fiend for smart plugs since getting involved with Alexa, Google Home and Siri. Over the years I've had a lot of devices, but settled on Google Home - just because I like how it integrates with email accounts and other Google subscriptions. Good news - this works with all three!In my work, I also dealt with a lot of smart products, locks, thermometers, sleep pads, a coffee machine, but mostly, i don't see the need for them in my everyday life. In my home it's lights that come on when its dark and plugs that turn off when they're not needed.I've been using Teckin for over a year now. They're cheap, but feel premium and just work - check out my other reviews! When I saw these, they looked a bit different to the other ones, but there was an offer on (hopefully still on), that made them less than £10 each. They were every bit as easy to set up as the others.These are a little off the brilliant white that the other plugs are, but they also feature a white LED instead of a blue one. It's a little bit easier on the eye. Aside from that - just the same - same size and everything. (I've include a side by side picture!)Currently, these ones will be used for lighting up lamps at sunset and turning them off around 11pm. Great little quality of life improvement for the darker nights - the kind of thing that makes smart plugs worth it!

I have been using them for last 1 year and lamps in my whole house is now controlled by Alexa and these plugs. Their built quality is excellent. They connected to WiFi in few seconds. Instructions are very clear. These plugs work seamlessly on a single command without ever getting failed. I am impressed with the work Teckin is doing and hence bought some a teckin indoor cameras for the first time.

This seems to be an updated version of the SP23 (the square one with energy nmonitoring built in), except this one doesn't have energy monitoring (not a deal breaker, I don't think). The other surprise with this is that the plug is beige not white (it probably stated this somewhere, but to be honest, I didn't look!).Once I got over the colour change (this is two-tone beige - the case is lighter and the face is darker, which I think you can make out in the photo), the massive redeeming feature of this is that the new design leaves the on/off power switch totally clear (so you can access it and also have 2 of these next to each other if needed!)The instructions say that this only works with the Teckin app, but out of curiosity I loaded it into the SmartLife app and it worked without a problem (I've got loads of this type of plug and light bulbs throughout the house, so managing on one app for me is key).All in all, does what it says, and I like the new design. (I still wish it was abvailable in all white, though!)
