I use this a lot for an 8" copper skillet I recently purchased to cook eggs. The small size doesn't hang too far over the edge to be obnoxious on a busy stove.One important note: the valve does not release steam, only pressure, so the lid rests quietly on the pan, doesn't vibrate from unreleased pressure. This means it also keeps heat in, but not so much that you lose control over cooking speed. For my eggs, it steams up right away, so you lose most of the visibility quickly. The condensation holds better surface tension than on a stainless steel lid; the glass seems to afford more control over whether you want to release condensation back into your pan, on your stove or not at all. I'll be ordering a Cooks Essentials splatter screen that has a ton of tiny perforations for when I want to release more steam and heat from the dish.The knob stays completely cool. You do need to conscientiously clean the entire rim to be sure you get all the grease off, but it's not a big deal, just takes a second. (I'm turning over a new leaf and carefully cleaning all my new pots and pans by hand.) I haven't used the big lid yet, but I'm sure it will be just fine. A really nice, versatile (and nice-looking) addition to skillets in a small kitchen.

Excellent product....we bought specifically to use on a wok to make popcorn on the stove. The vented lid is perfect for this and allows enough moisture to escape so that every kernel pops. Both lids fit multiple pot and pan sizes so these are extremely versatile. They wash up nicely the dishwasher. Highly recommend!

I have a carbon steel Mauviel fry pan that a normal lid would not fit. I bought these because of the shape. The small one fits perfectly. I like the steam release and the handle stays cool even when frying bacon. They are well made. I would highly recommend.

I love these lids fits all size pots or pans. I some how was missing lids for some of my cookware I ordered these lids viola perfect fits on any size. Cleans up really nice. I would recommend these to anyone who has lids missing.

I was shopping for just a lid for an 11" frying pan when I came upon this offer. I'm so glad I did! I realized that I have an 8 1/2" pan as well, so purchased this offer of two lids. They are terrific! As you can see, the silicone rim is wide enough to accommodate a range of sizes. They are substantial and very well made. They pop into the dishwasher for an easy clean-up. I highly recommend these!
