BYKES 24 Assorted Colors Polyester Sewing Thread Spool 200 Yards Each

I always hear that only "XYZ brand thread made from the finest cotton of Narnia which was enchanted by Zeus himself" would work on sewing machines and that every other thread will instantly break and cause a nuclear explosion, plunging the world into nuclear winter and endless chaos.If anyone tells you something like that, then you should punch them in the face because simply put, they're wrong.I recently purchased a SINGER 7258 sewing machine (which freakin' rocks my socks btw), and this thread works absolutely flawlessly with it when set to the automatic tension (haven't tried other tension settings yet.).Perhaps the sewing machine I have accepts the thread because it was designed for low-quality thread, but I would be highly doubtful. It could also be that I read the fracking manual of my sewing machine on how to properly thread it.Anyways, this thread is really strong. While I am definitely no expert on thread quality as I am a novice to the whole sewing thing, I have to say I am impressed by this stuff, especially for the price which is far below other, self-claimed "high quality" thread you'll see on Amazon.Simply put, this stuff will not break under normal use. It works flawlessly for all sorts of fabrics, including denim and other thick fabrics. Hell, I made a few dog toys for my dog and he was unable to break the stitching. In fact, the fabric tore before the stitches did (two layers of denim). Actually, the stitching did not even break.I've used this stuff to stitch multiple layers of denim-like fabric together without ANY issues with this thread. It held together like a champ.This thread also will not tangle, nor bunch up like some people are claiming. I have no idea why people are claiming that. What the hell are they trying to do with it?Whatever. The only reason why I docked a star off is because there are some issues when you get towards the end of the roll.I am unsure who spooled the thread, however when you get towards the end, you're finding yourself gambling whether it was spooled by a spastic person with Parkinson's. The reason I say this is because the thread towards the end is oddly wrapped; it overlaps itself in odd places and makes it unusable as you would have a tough time untangling the mess.With that being said, don't let that turn you off of this brand. The amount of unusable thread at the end isn't really all that much. Maybe a couple of yards at the very most out of the 200 yards you get per spool.In short, if you're new to sewing and have no idea what thread to get, you should start with this stuff.

I'm a beginner at sewing - I wanted a simple, cheap - ish set of coloured thread to practice with. I think it's pretty nice, though it could be stronger(breaks at times). Also, when I was looking at the colour selection, I thought I saw yellow. But in the package, I only noticed a bright lime green which, on closer inspection, only looked yellow on my monitor. Why doesn't this set come with such a basic colour like yellow? I don't get it. Also, I did not receive any orange either, only 2 shades of red(very red, not orangey at all). I know it's supposed to be "assorted" colours, but I would appreciate some better/more varied choices.Anyway, it's a nice set of thread, so yay.

You get what you pay for! In this case, it's a great deal of length in thread in several colors, weighted toward the most-often-worn. Primarily, blacks and whites.This thread was a lighter gauge than I expected. It's very thin and not particularly strong. Thats not really a surprise, again, because it was cheap.The thing that bugged me about this product, taking away 1 star was that the thread pilled up and tangled more than other threads I've used. It's not a very sleek thread, considering that it's polyester, and it is not particularly smooth to sew with.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. When I received it I was first surprised to see that there were 6 whites...the picture shows 4. There was also 2 red and the picture shows 1 red. Upon reviewing the colors in the package that I received it is apparent that you can not expect to get all the colors in the picture. I did notice that I received some blues that were not pictures. I bought this so that my daughter would have a variety of thread colors and this is a variety just not what is shown. So I guess I'm okay with the purchase. I will update if she has issues with the thread not working in her machine.

A nice assortment of much needed colors for all the sewing I do. The thread is a great price but is also on the thin side. If you are using for non essential items like pillows, etc. then it's fine. I wouldn't recommend for sewing with clothes. Not sure how well the clothes would hold up.

I was surprised at how small the spools are. I like the color assortment but I haven't tried to sew with them yet so not sure of the quality. The supplier did not send any info in the box in case I wanted to return it or where to notify if I had a problem. That's a little scarey. Thank goodness this purchase was not very expensive and I have no problems with it.

Having 24 spools of polyester in many useful colors is perfect. The problem is found with this product is there seems to be no way to find the start of the thread. I cannot find the beginning of the spool and had to scratch on the thread to loosen some and cut it from there. Very difficult to use thread this way. No marking or any show as to how to begin with the spool and wasting thread is not what I want to do. I am sure I won't be buying thread this way again.

This came fast and is a great product but the only reason I give this 4 out of 5 because it says in the description there is 3 whites and 3 blacks and there are only 2 whites. It's cool but that should b changed in the description.
