Identical to the $ store ones.
Let me just say, I love this product. I don’t use them for crayons, I use them to store trading/playing cards, among other things. When compared side by side to the boxes from the $ store, they appear to be identical in every way. The only difference being, the ones from Amazon are quite a bit cheaper. Quality, consistency, and durability all seem to be about what you’d expect.SIDE NOTE: As other reviewers have mentioned the stickers can be very stubborn sometimes. And occasionally, these boxes will arrive and be slightly bowed inward. This causes less interior space and completely prevents the satisfying *snap* when you close the case. Luckily I have a simple solution for both issues.TIPS&TRICKS:Go to your oven and turn the burner on med-high. The setting doesn’t matter really but it has to be hot. Hold the box slightly away from the burner and begin warming up the side with the sticker. Carefully monitor your box so you make sure you’re not melting it. (It’s really hard to actually melt it but ya know…some people) anyway, just heat up the sticker area nice and good. Make sure it’s warm to the touch but not so hot you can’t touch it. At this point the adhesive backing on the sticker turns almost into butter and you can peel that baby off no problem. Now if you’re fast, shove something inside your box that cause the front to just slightly expand/protrude. This will reverse any inward bowing the box might have and will really allow the box to make that satisfying *snap* when closing it. I’ve included pictures, before and after bending (top view) and also after photos with the box closed. Overall it’s a good product, good price.

Great for crayons
I took the crayons for school and put them in these. The boxes always seem to fall apart! These are fantastic

Great teacher tool for storage.
The boxes help keep the crayons from breaking. They are so much better than the flimsy box crayons come in that get ripped up after two or three uses.

My second grade class has been using these for a little over a month now, and so far so good. I love that we can recycle the cardboard boxes their crayons came in, and the plastic lids are still clasping tightly.

Bought for my classroom
These are nice for keeping individual crayons organized for my students. I dropped one though & the closing clasp broke. Would expect them to be more durable as young children use these containers.

These are great for more than just crayons!
I discovered these at a store this year. I cleaned them out! Then I saw them at a dollar store. And cleaned them out, too! I was so excited to be able to get a whole box sent to my home! I use these for cards that go with my learning games and for cards that ARE learning games. They're a little too small for flashcards that you buy, but if it fits, I put it in one of these boxes. I use them for plastic bingo markers, game pieces and alphabet beads, too. These boxes are perfect to store, stack, and distribute any number of things. And I love them for crayons! No box that disintegrates, putting crayons all over the floor or getting lost in a desk. They are actually big enough to put the whole box of crayons in--including the box!
