My son asked for a drone , after some research I decided to start him off with something basic .. this one is perfect !Great starter Drone for a 10 year old!Exactly what I was looking for.. it’s very durable, it has taken quite a few collisions over the past few weeks and holding up very well ..compact, fun and easy to operate!! My son has gotten many hours of playtime out of it!!Great battery life, he gets about an hour of flight time out of every charge.. it also charges really quick as well.. The control is comfortable and very easy for his little hands to operate ..And it’s actually really cool! Does some amazing flips, you really could never get bored of this.. so much fun, even just to watch him fly.The price Is right !! Very happy with this purchase!!

Hard to rate a drone that was delivered with no batteries or a charger. Business card inside box says I won a free battery which is nice but I still don't have a charger. It looks cool 😎UPDATE 6/2/2021 I'm changing my review from one star to 5 stars because of this company's wonderful customer service. Evidently they saw my 1 star review and did everything they could to make things right and they did. I will buy from this company again and you can too with confidence. Cathy will fix any and everthing for you! Drone works excellent also, very fast and stable.

My son is obsessed with this drone, and has been for over a month now. He plays with it constantly and I've been pretty impressed with the remarkable science behind the toy itself. It's pretty impressive how well it flies and how well he can control it, and especially considering the low price point. The only drawback (and this might be due to how much he flies it) is that it tends to break. Specifically, the motors burn out.Sanrock paid for 2 new motors for us when I contacted them (their customer service is great and they'll get back to you right away), but then, when it broke a third time, they just recommended that we buy a new drone. They did reimburse us 50% so that was at least something.I DO recommend this product overall, as my son truly loves it.

This is a small drone that is impossible for my 5yo to control, kind of possible that my 9yo can control it, and my 12yo has no trouble controlling. No matter, all the kids think this is a lot of fun. It's best for indoor use, not in the wind outside. Also when it gets completely stuck in a little girls hair - the propellers come off easily and it detangles quickly - it comes painlessly out of the hair. Just take the props off and stick them back on. This makes a good stocking stuffer gift.

I picked up this Sanrock GD65A drone (and a simple non-altitude hold mini-drone from another manufacturer) to learn the basics of drone flying with the intent to eventually move into mini FPV racing dronesThis drone, which has altitude hold and is not FPV, is the perfect starting point. The controller is small and portable, but feels great in the hands and controls the drone extremely well. The altitude hold works well and makes it easy to fly indoors and learn the controls without constantly smacking into the ceiling and floor (this is why this drone is a great starting point before learning the fine throttle control needed for non-altitude hold drone). This drone is precise and stable, just slow enough to not overwhelm a beginner in its lowest speed mode, yet it's very quick in its highest speed mode (almost too quick for a smaller indoors spaces). I've also found it quite durable and I'm getting 5 to 7 minutes of flight time per battery depending how aggressively I fly it, which is great.I liked this drone so much that I ordered a SECOND as a spare and for friends to fly!

This is a sturdy cool little drone that can be played both indoors (without worrying about breaking things) and outdoors. It's surprisingly easy to control. Very beginner-friendly. My kids enjoy it a lot. They fly it under the table, do a 360 with it, and practice landing it on each other's head lol. It's definitely one of the favorite toys I have to pull out on rainy days and weekends.

My 9 year old son lost his old one which was the identical model. He decided to buy another and this one works just as well as the old one. Lots of fun to fly around the house or outside if the wind is mild. Definitely buy a couple extra batteries as you only get about 5 minutes per battery.Surprisingly the unit holds up well to crashes (which happen often). Comes with replacement rotors but have never broken one.

Goes fast, but runs for exactly 5 mins before needing to be charged. Even when we charge it overnight. It does go fast though. It's hard to steer and control. We mistakenly got it for our 11 yr old, it's for ages 14 and up and def would wait til 14 or even 15 before getting this for a child. It is FAST and the blades spin quickly and could get caught in hair etc.
