I picked this product because it look very functional, and I liked the black anodized coating. I assumed the black coating would make washing the product more easy. Before using, I washed with soap and warm water and let dry. My first shredding was a block of sharp cheddar cheese on to a paper plate. I noticed some black flakes in the cheese so I quit using it. I used a magnifying glass to see where the black coating had been stripped of the shredder. I strongly DO NOT recommend this product because it appears to be a health hazard to consumers. And I'm promptly returning the product.

This is the best grater I have ever had. It is a heavy guage metal and does not bow inward when I grate hard cheeses, etc. The bowl fits well. Love it.

This cheese grater did not disappoint me in any way whatsoever! It’s versatile, it slices quickly and easily, it has a nice coating on it and it is the right size. It has multiple sides and a little storage container that you can grate cheese or vegetables into. I can hold onto it easily and it cleans up easily too. It was priced less than some of the more recognizable kitchen brands, but seems to be popular with other people who bought it.

It did work and it worked well even better than I had expected.It's very easy to clean I'm not sure what the coating is it might be powder coated.And I like the black finish because food has no place to hide as it might with a shiny steel surface.I'm guessing that why it's there. This product also came with its own little box to catch what your grating and it has a lid for storage. It also looks good on my rose granite counter top. I'm sure it's going to perform well over the years if it doesn't I will let you know. If asked what I liked best it would be " it didn't disappoint." as so many other products do.If you buy the product odds are good it will not disappoint you either.

My parents have had one of these for years from one of those fundraiser catalog sales, and I'd say this is about the quality of what you'd expect of a cheap catalog item. Its definitely usable as advertised and a good deal for the product, but I definitely wouldn't put it in the dishwasher or anything.A side note, the box was completely misspelled which is a little offputting when getting a product. I personally wouldn't purchase a product in a store that misspelled the product name on the front. Grater is spelled greater, but overall it was well packaged and arrived in good condition.I'd definitely recommend it for the price. It does what it should!

Some things the picture & video helped me to purchase was the sturdiness of the product and the small container to catch the shavings.Mostly I bought it to grate carrots, instead of spending the extra at the supermarket to buy packaged grated carrots. It does an awesome job of doing that. Only problem, as I am grating a carrot, it gets all over the place. Fortunately I have a large poly-board to catch it, but I would rather have all the gratings fall in the plastic bucket, which fits in the bottom of the grater. As with any grater, you're not going to be able to grate the whole carrot, unless you want your knuckles looking like you were in a fight! 😊Not taking a star off because I prolly need more practice!It also has several options to grate and grind. Out of all the graters I shopped, this one seemed to fit what the ideal version should be.

This is a big YES.My six yo is deeply interested in cooking and baking. We got this so he could shred cheese, and also carrots and zucchini for cakes and breads.We've used it twice and it's gone through the dishwasher 3X now. It's as solid and tough as you'd hope, and comes out spotless from our dishwasher.I seriously searched far and wide for this type of grater!

purchased one of these and had to return it because it was so dull it wouldn't zest my lemon my first attempt trying to use it. I figured "hey, stuff happens, products have defects sometimes" and swapped it out for a new one. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because everything about the design down to the little container shaped to fit under it was exactly what I was looking for. But I just got my replacement in the mail today and yeah I'm still not impressed. It's super dull and straight up unusable.

Aesthetics aside, this this is very versatile offering 6 different cutting surfaces. Whatever the black coating is, it keep the tool cleaner. The edges are real sharp and have pulled this out quite a few times to make short work of grating things. Its a little bit on the bigger side as grater go but that's that's small concession considering how well it works!

Quality product. Very stable.
