Shepherd Hardware9260 4-Inch Swivel Caster, Elastic Blue Rubber, 265-lb Load Capacity

I bought these as a replacement for some flimsy harbor freight wheels. They had no sideways stability with the straight sides. These were just what the doctor ordered. Plenty of lateral strength.What I was less than impressed with was the softer wheels and the bearing caps. Now for indoor use on smooth floors these will be perfect, but since everyone has different purposes and I am everyone (well one of everyone) my purpose was for outdoor use and over rough pavement. The soft wheels are less than ideal and will wear quickly. That isn't the fault of the wheel though so I didn't take the star for that reason. I don't like the free floating afterthought of the bearing caps.I would have preferred ones that snap in place giving me a little more security that debris won't get into the bearings and make them fail. I already know I am replacing the wheels and will be on the lookout for some new ones. Maybe I will use the hard rubber/plastic HF wheels with some spacers. I am keeping the tough-as-nails frame though.

I purchased tons of these over the last couple years to use as tool box wheels. I use these and the Shepherd 9260 which swivels. Other than occasionally having to adjust for the heavy loads we have used these without any problems. These get covered in grease, hydraulic oil, etc and haven't had to replace yet.

Nice quality caster. I used 6 of these for my home made woodworking bench. It moves so easy you would never know it weighs several hundred pounds

We purchased these to use on the front of our Chicken tractor which probably weighs 400 pounds. So far we've had no trouble with these wheels. They are sturdy and have no problem moving this amount of weight outside on the lawn. We should have bought a larger diameter though to make moving the tractor on that terrain a little easier but until they wear out, we will keep using them.

These are high quality casters which you pretty much have to have to retrofit most of the wooden dollies sold on Amazon. I used them to replace low-quality casters which came with a dolly I bought recently. Only thing I would do differently is get 3 inch. Four inch is overkill and I didn't realize at the time how large they were going to be.

I put these on a generic dolly from a local store. They survive bad surfaces, don't mark good floors, and I can move heavy items with hardly any effort.

I was restoring a old bass guitar cabinet and i need some heavy duty casters that can take a beating and this are the ones. Rolls and spins extremely smooth.
