It bolted right up to existing and included fittings.

Worked good until I bumped it and gas went everywhere. The bottom leaks letting air in and gas out cutting the engine off.. so now I wrapped electric tape around it until I can get off the lake. I'm going to shop around for a better more solid unit.

Used to replace Mercury filter housing. Not happy that sealing surface is aluminum; expect same corrosion issues eventually that made original one leak.

Old base was well corroded from its location (nearly unreachable) a the top for the bilge area (14 years old too..). Rather than buy a 100% new assembly - $80.00 Marpac unit, I just replaced the top mount / Base.. Comes with 2 barbs and 2 blanks for holes not used .. I did not use the plumber's tape included , rather Permatex #2 thread sealant that gasoline does not adversely effect. Screwed in the barbs and blanks the way I needed them (taking note if fuel in arrows and fuel out arrows on the top) , let the sealant dry a couple of days and reinstalled.. all works great... for 23.00 base replacement.

This filter is no good i literally used my boat one time after I installed it now the cup is leaking fuel in my boat...

I purchased and installed their basic water separating filter and also bought a spare canister to use for the following year's service. I ended up getting an extra canister (this one) for the unit that had bad reviews because of leaking fuel at the treads where the plastic water drain cup is. I thought I was ordering a closed bottom canister that fit my base. Apparently iFJF doesn't sell a replaceable closed bottom canister for the base. Now I'm going to remove their unit and replace it with a better brand like Attwood and throw away this filter canister that I bought but turned out to be the wrong one (return date has long past). What they don't show you on the bottom side of the filter canister is that it goes to a unit with a drain cup. I recommend you buy from Sierra, Quicksilver, Attwood or other known brand. Don't waste your money like I did.

Nicely polished aluminum on the inside of the top part. It's replacing my old raycor complete system. They are take the same filters but has bigger fittings this one is way cheaper and I'm pretty sure way better quality than the raycor.
