It looks durable and the retaining strap helps stop the speaker from moving around inside.Ideally the inside would be molded to the profile of the speaker with a impact absorbing foam between the molding and the outer case, but such a construction would push the cost up beyond what many would wish to pay and I'd say this is a decent compromise.The carry handle seems well constructed, the ridged/woven exterior of the case may be a bit of a dust trap, but going over it with a vacuum with its upholstery brush attached should pick up any dust that becomes visible.
