“I’m comfortable calling whoever spoke it an angel
Proof of AngelsMarch 2015 Tyler Beddoes and three of his fellow Spanish Fork police officers rescued eighteen-month-old Lily Groesbeck from an overturned car found partially submerged in the Spanish Fork River. The river rescue story was remarkable, but what really captured the attention of the world was the mysterious voice the officers heard that day.Beddoes shares how officers heard and responded to a woman’s voice saying, “Help me, help me.” As they turned the car on its side, they could see the driver was deceased, but in the back seat was an infant suspended in a car seat --- now underwater. They knew time was of the essence if the baby could be saved. Everyone on scene heard the calm voice coming from inside the car but how could that be possible since neither the driver nor the baby could speak? Officer Beddoes is convinced that it was an angel. In the newly released book, “Proof of Angels”, coauthored with Ptolemy Tompkins, Beddoes talks about his experience during the rescue.“I’m comfortable calling whoever spoke it an angel, because angels are messengers. And if ever I’ve been given a message, I was that day, while trying to right that car.”Co-author Ptolemy Tompkins has collected stories of angelic encounters. For ten years he worked at a magazine called “Angels on Earth”, a sister publication of “Guideposts” and has written articles which have appeared in several other national magazines. He is the author of seven books, including the best-seller, “Proof of Heaven”.When Tompkins heard the story of the voice pleading for help for the unconscious baby Lilly, he knew he wanted to write about it. He intertwines the story of her miraculous rescue with other stories of the visits of angels. Tompkins also believes that these true stories must be shared to build faith.Tompkins writes, “We have a critical need not for signs and wonders, because we already have them. What we need it’s the faculty to open our minds and accept them. We need events that demonstrate that the spiritual world is real, that it is populated, and that it is watched over by a God who cares about us.”Tyler Beddoes felt even if people doubted or criticized him he still needed to tell the story and share the message that angels are indeed real and that he and his fellow rescuers heard those words, “Help me, help me.”

An interesting and informative book with true stories of angels guiding and helping people.
I have read quite a few books lately on the subject of guardian angles and when I saw this 191 page soft cover book (Proof of angels by Ptolemy Tompkins and Tyler Beddoes: The definitive book on the reality of angels and the surprising role they play in each of our lives) on Amazon for a bargain price I decided to purchase it. As a retired police officer I was fascinated by the now famous and well published true story of a rescue of a baby (Lily Groesbeck) from a car accident from an overturned car in a Utah river. This covers that incident in detail as well as other cases showing how these strange guides from beyond have helped us and saved many lives. The eleven chapters cover the following topics: An occurrence on Spanish Fork Bridge, what are angels? An angel named James Taylor, describing the indescribable, the academy, a voice from somewhere else, a presence in the room, devils, where do we go? Proof? What it all means. This is a book that is both interesting and thought provoking concerning the subject of angels and the role they have played in so many lives.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. A book to give peace and understanding and acceptance
While there are quite a few graphic and sad details in this book one must remember that it is the story of a police officer and his companions who deal with graphic and sad situations on a continual basis. That these hardened and stoic officers can also feel the comfort and peace from the presence of Angles is beautiful. My daughter was a personal friend to the victim this book focuses on and this book brings some peace and understanding from a truly tragic event. Gives one hope by reading it, especially if the reader is suffering a personal tragedy, illness or other situations out of their earthly control.

Extremely well-written & thought-provoking!
This book & author are definitely different from the books I normally read. It's not a book about angels; I think it's about our faith (or lack thereof). It seems, to me, to be about two separate miracles and the effects they had on those who witnessed them. In particular, what happened to one individual before and after one of the miracles. There is quite a bit of gore throughout which I had to skip; but because it was so well written I wanted to read the parts that I could. If the author hadn't included the gore I would have given this 5 stars.

Inspiring
This book made my heart break for some of the events that Tyler had to deal with. I am from Spanish Fork and I had no idea that things like that happened around here! There is so much evil and bad that happens in the world today. But I think that if we will pay more attention to our inner self, we will realize that we too have a guardian angel that is willing to help us whenever we need them....if we are listening. I am grateful that Tyler shared his experiences in this book with anyone who will read it.

Okay read, but not "Proof".
More interested in actual proof stories than first person stories that could or may not be real. I real a lot of NDE books, where there are witnesses and consistencies. This is just simply a collection of stories told by the experiencers. Some, sure, could be real - I believe that. Some may not be. And some are more far fetched, where the experiencer may be attributing luck to angels. This is great reading for those interested, but it wasn't really what I was looking for. I wanted more to back up the title: "Proof of Angels".

Brilliant Book by a Fabulous Writer
Brilliant book by a fabulous writer! Tompkins is so talented. He understands human nature and the spiritual world and is able to integrate the two in such a compelling fashion. All of Tompkins work is excellent and this book is no exception. Yes it is about Angels, but about so much more. So many books in this vain fall short by the quality of writing. With Tompkins the writing, the depth of thought, the scope of thought and the sensitivity in dealing with human tragedy and spiritual experience is unmatched. Touche Mr. Tompkins.

Wonderful experience!
The experiences of officer Beddoes are heart-warming.For anyone who has lost a loved one and is grieving, an encouraging story to read that there is more to heaven and earth than we are led to believe. The recently deceased mommy who saves her little baby with her prudence. The murdered children, whom God took up into his wonderful light and who hearted the officers at the crime scene - and last but not least his own brother, who, when he died on the home sofa, was picked up by someone else so that he wasn't alone when he had to step over to the other world. This world down here is "not God's world". We should never forget this. This is a way station where we are tested as to our faith and works. If this world were God's world, the profession of cops wouldn't be necessary any more. Over on the other side there is no war and no murder. Your actions in the here and now, the acceptance of the ransom sacrifice that God commanded those who love him, determines where you go after death.A book that gives hope that when you die, life isn't all over.It is such a pity that it was never translated into German.

Believe In Angels!!!
I just received this E-Book! I saw the Police man tell his heart warming story on The Steve Harvey Show! It brought me to tears and immediately went unto Amazon to locate. I,do believe in Angels and God and this will be a wonderful blessing to read through this Easter week end. It's about hearing a woman's voice, yelling out,"Help Me,help me!" The four police men found the vehicle upside down in a pond. It was there for 14 hours, the lady was killed on impact,BUT there was a small child,in the back of this vehicle who survived! It was an Angel who called out for help!

The title says it all. Is a different style of writing, but believable. Very graphic and might be disturbing to some readers.

enjoyed some of the stories written and the tales of some of the major persons who appeared in this book. I would have preferred to hear from a larger source of people , who have had the angels in their lives.
