I bought this cart from a big box store. Sorry Amazon! I was amazed by the 600lb rating, since most hand trucks of this type are rated for 150lbs. I had a box that contained a colposcope that weighed in the ballpark of 80-100 pounds. This truck has an aluminum kick bar that also locks the wheels in the parallel position. I placed my foot on the kick bar and pulled back on the handles. The kickbar bent and the nylon stops it locks into broke off. I question weather it would handle 600lbs if I had placed my foot behind one of the wheels instead, but I think that any one who has any history mving things with a hand truck would place their foot right where I did. Now to see if I can take it back to the big box store who has this listed as a discontinued item on their website. Hmm, wonder why....

Purchased this clearance for only $54 at a local hardware store. Used it for a couple of loads and returned it the next day. This thing is total junk. I liked the idea that I could fold it up and easily carry it with me and store it in the back of my small truck while traveling. Joke was on me. Within 5 minutes of use, the folding mechanisms no longer worked, and there is nothing to hold the wheels in place so it folds up while in use and you lose your load. It doesn't even deserve one star.
