The Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy Soundtrack 18 Trading Cards

This is an amazing set of music from the trilogy of the lord of the rings. Came with cool special photo insert things.

I don't know why I bought these but I gave it high marks because I love the music. This is the three movie's; Fellowship of the Rings, The Two Towers and The Return of the King theater version soundtracks of the movies. It is a nice little box that hold the 3 CD's and cards of the Fellowship of the Rings and Return of the King movie posters.

Such awesome, powerful and moving music the composer did an awesome job. I got this for my son for Christmas. It's a great collection of all three

I watch the trilogy every winter... The extended editions. Yes, I do. As I do and relive the joy I felt 20 years ago in theaters, I'm reminded how wonderful the score is. How iconic... And so, I needed my soundtracks back. My significant other stowed away my CDs from the original press of them, and removed them from the jewel cases and stored them in a huge ugly sleeved binder... I couldn't find them... And I'm a creative person, professionally and very personally... And when I need to refill the well... I must. The boxed set is so well presented and so fun. The collector cards are nice, but they aren't "cards". They're slips of printed photos. Nice but not durable like cards. But that's not why I indulged... I just wanted that feeling of having the cds on my desk, next to my drawing tools... And the packaging alone inspires me daily. The scores are modern classics... Ending with "Into the West" performed by Annie Lennox, which is one of the most beautiful songs ever to be laid to track... Why it doesn't get more attention... I'll never know. She did win the academy award for the song... It's what I would like played at my funeral one day... Its the most ethereal approach to a song about passing from the physical world... Its simply perfect. Only obstacle for me is, I ball like a child while listening to it. Take the plunge. It's a deal for the price too... A classic... The entire score...

The music is excelletnt, I wish they included more of the songs in the movies.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy Soundtrack is one of the best epic motion picture soundtracks ever created. The musics bring the scenes from the movie whenever they are played. The themes are well-made and give different emotions. One can quickly remember the scene of the Bridge of Khazad Dum, Lothlorien, Gondor - Minas Tirith, the Dark Riders, the Rohirin, Battle of Helm's Deep, or even the happy scenes of the Hobbits. Each CD consists of at least one or two beautiful vocals of female voices. All soundtracks are composed beautifully by the great composer Howard Shore.Disc 1 The Fellowship of the Ring - "Concerning Hobbits" gives you the happy the life of Hobbits, which I really adore. "The bridge of Khazad Dum" gives you the frightening scenes of the deep of Moria, consisting of vocals of football players "hoof...hoof". "The Breaking of the Fellowship" is emotional, featuring the voice of Edward Ross and choir boys.Disc 2 The Two Towers - The theme of the Rohirin is beautifully played, especially "The Riders of Rohan", "The King of the Golden Hall" and "Helm's Deep." "Evenstar" is beautifully sung by Isabel Bayrakdarian, which includes the Elvish 'Teliach Ú i vethed nâ i onnad. Si boe ú-dhanna. Ae ú-esteli, esteliach nad' meaning 'This is not the end...it is the beginning. You cannot falter now. If you don't trust [this], trust nothing else.' "Forth Forlingas" and "Isengard Unleashed" are very dramatic and are my favorites.Disc 3 The Return of the King - "Minas Tirith" and "The White Tree" brings the scenes of Gondor and the Minas Tirith city. "Steward of Gondor" begins with the theme of Gondor and is very emotional with the lyrics sung by Billy Boyd. "The Black Gate Opens" has beautiful tunes of flutes and themes of the Fellowship in an emotional way - I love it! "Into the West" by Annie Lennox is a beautiful and dramatic song that gives you the sense of "the end of a journey".I highly recommend this soundtrack set for the beautiful themes and songs it holds.

The discs (3) arrived in a timely manner undamage. Unpacked the parcel and played all discs immediately. The music is beautiful, what more could you ask for?

Sitting in my warm living room in my couch, a cup of tea on the table next to a couple of candles, outside it is dark, wet and cold, I am reading my newest edition of LOTR - and listening to this marvelous CD. I have a craving after mushroom soup followed by a pipe of good tobacco. I can almost feel the hair on my feet start to grow and curl.
