Japan: A Documentary History : The Late Tokugawa Period to the Present (Japan - A Documentary History)

It is definitely a good book if you are interested in Japanese History. It is a bit dry of course because it is all documents, but it is ratehr interesting to read the language they used back then and the social settings they presented.

This book starts on page 273, nowhere on the cover of the book does it say that it is a volume 2 so the I ordered it & assumed I was buying the whole book and it was the first chapter I needed. I have never seen a book that lists a chapter in its contents but it is not contained in the book and omits 272 pages. I looked more closely and saw "II" written at the top of the spine cover. I m very upset about this as I was waiting for a long time for this book and it is no good to me. Be warned it is not the whole book.
