These detailed incense box burners are not only a decorative way to burn your favorite sticks, but also provide convenient storage. A built in drawer is the perfect way to keep your incense organized and available. A hinged top reveals a metal lined bed where you can burn stick, non-cored, or cone incense. When lit, the incense smoke gently rises from the slit in the top lid. Some versions, but not all, have additional holes in the sides there you can insert stick incense. All hand-made, they feature Tibetan Buddhist designs. These designs include the ashtamangala, or 8 auspicious symbols. These sacred symbols represent different attributes of Buddhist philosophy. The script design features the Tibetan mantra "om mani padre hum." This popular mantra roughly translates to "jewel in the lotus." Each syllable is colored differently, just as each one is associated with a different purification element. We also offer a very finely carved version of the ashtamangala. This high end version is large, has a brass drawer pull, and features four holes to insert stick incense.
