Quality budget offering from TRN
Hi everyone, here is my in depth review of the TRN ST1.The version I purchased is the one without the inline microphone.Build - The build of the ST1 is fine for the price point but as the body is semi transparent so the dynamic driver can just about be seen the through the body and the armature is located in the nozzle. On each earphone it displays the Left and right indicator on the side of each respective shell not far from the connector. The rear has a 1 large vent so there is no vacuum or popping when you put them into your ears and I presume it is just for show so it looks like the more expensive model, the BA5. I guess this vent is to help soundstage as well.Packaging - The packaging is a white and black box with the brand displayed on a white background. On the front is the brand and text stating these earphones are of a hybrid design, the right side shows the make, colour and mic variant, left side shows only the brand and the rear is a quick summary of the specs and other information in English and Chinese. Inside the box is a user manual which is double sided, warranty card and QC card which are in English and Chinese.Cable - In the box is the cable variant with no microphone. The cable has a built in memory wire but it is superior in my opinion to the likes of the older KZ cables as the memory wire is so flexible. One downside is that the L and R on the connectors are very hard to see. The cable is a 2 pin variant so aftermarket cables should fit as it has a 0.75 2 pin type. It also has no chin slider which may or may not matter to you. This TRN uses the same connector as the later KZ / CCA so is a paragraph C version which means that any KZ or CCA paragraph C cable fits this. Apart from the new type of connector the rest of the cable is the same as any other TRN.Comfort - In the box comes with the 6 silicon tips. The medium tips were fitted by default and were my favourite for fitment. The ST1's fit my ears really well and I have no issue with comfort but as everyone's ears are different, your mileage may vary!Sound - I found them to have a V shaped sound signature. This earphone has 2 drivers per side which are 1 balanced armature and 1 dynamic driver so this is labelled as a hybrid. There is a crossover to split the frequencies between the drivers.Power requirements - They are very easy to power with a 22 ohm impedance and a sensitivity of 108db so any portable device will power these easily.Highs - A detailed sound also with great micro details and the highs are detailed with a roll off in the upper treble to reduce excessive highs and fatigue. I heard a little bit of sibilance but your music taste will affect this.Bass - Slightly elevated. So controlled and not muddy at all with a fast decay. Does not spread into the mids much at all. Excellent sub bass and mid bass does not get boomy at all. A great bass performing dynamic driver which is 10mm.Mids - Mids are a bit recessed until the peak at the upper mids which makes vocals very clear.Soundstage - A wide soundstage with good depth. Also has good imaging as tested with Yosi Horikawa and the track called Letter.I found these sounded great with electronic music. They have got a great overall sound signature and are a nice budget offering from TRN.Sources - I have tried the earphones with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, SMSL IDEA, o2/odac, Shanling M0 and Fiio M5. They can easily be driven off a cell phone but they do sound slightly better when used with an amplifier.Audio - I have tried it with various MP3's, FLAC's and various youtube videos.

TRN-ST1 good bang for the buck
The TRN ST1 is a low price in ear monitor with a 10mm dynamic driver and a 30095 balanced Armature. The body is acrylic plastic with a shiny metal faceplate. They come in a small simple cardboard box. They come with 3 sets of silicon ear pieces. They come with a detachable 2 pin cable. The cable is thin and tangles easily. There is no chin slider which would be very cheap to add and I feel should be on every cable. The cable has a stiffening piece of plastic to hook around the ears, but it is not to stiff. The basic accessories are about what should be expected at this price point. The TRN ST1 was easy to and get a good seal for me. They are very light and easily powered by my LG-G6 and by my Ibasso DX50. You do not need any external amplifier. The sound signature was quite v-shaped. It had strong bass and treble with noticeably recessed mids. They have very detailed and clear treble and punchy pleasing bass. They sounded very warm.BassBass was strong and dominated the overall sound signature. The bass is punchy and clean. It was overall very nice. Male vocals gained a bit extra warmness due to the powerful bass. I was impressed with the clean sound of the bass it was not muddied at all.MidrangeMidrange was recessed but clean and pleasing to the ear. There was some bass bleed into the lower ranges of the midrange.TrebleTreble was a bit forward, but very clear. It has good detail and sparkle. There was a tiny bit of sibilance, but not bad enough to make them hard to listen too for long periods.SoundstageFor the price I thought the TRN-ST1 has excellent soundstage. They were very spacious, with good instrument separation.OverallI really enjoyed the ST1 for this price point. They were easy to listen to for extended periods, had great soundstage and detail for the price. They had an overall warm and fun sound. The bass and treble were good for the price the mids could have been a little more forward. The one thing they really should have is a chin slider on the cable. Overall I really enjoy them.

Loud and Clear
I will use my KZ ZS10 Pro IEM's what I will compare these to, so it is apple to apple. I really like my KZ's a lot but these have me seconding thinking this. These are louder and are not distorting even at a high volume. They give a nice clean clear sound. The bass is there and tight like the KZ's, the mids (vocals) I think are a little bit pushed forward on the TRN ST1 and the highs are clean and not over done. I hear some great clarity and detail on any genre I played. They are just as comfortable as the KZ's, which is good, though I had to use the large ear tips to get a tight seal. The cord is a little better than the standard cord from KZ, does not tangle as quickly as the KZ cord. I do use upgraded cables and always suggest in paying and getting a better cable, they make a difference and makes tangling a thing of the past. All in all, I would have to say if you have a budget under $75 and want to get a great set of IEM.s buy these and get the $20. upgrade cable and still save.

Great Sound
I highly recommend these IEMs Great sound great quality for the money. I own a lot of other earbuds first experience with actual IEMs but I never would have bought my Sound Core Liberty Pro 3's if I would have known about these Don't get me wrong The Liberty Pro 3’s are awesome. Great sound great Build quality. Not a bad fit but $160. They're a lot cheaper than the AirPod Pro’$ and the Sony WF1000XM4 so The $160.00 I paid was worth at the time but these are definitely worth it.

Excelentes
