Wouldn't ever do without this for sure
This is very good for cutting things out of your way. Also this one helped save my life. I came face to face with a huge bear one night and as he stood up in my face with his mouth open and his are reached out to grab and pull me into him, i let him have it. It also saved my dog's life as well. It is made strong and it is just the right weight and size. I never go outside without it.

Thick machete
I have many machetes and this is a beast. Its more like an axe. Its a thick slab of steel. If your looking for a machete to chop some stuff up with this is it. If you need something to slice through brush Id recommend something a bit thinner.

Holds a edge
Used it several times, no blemishes on the edge. Top heavy which is a plus, aids in the cut. The handle is slip resistant and the color makes it stand out when you lay it down to perform another task.

A higher order of beast as compared to say a Fiskars machete. Styled more along the lines of what I imagine Yosemite Sam in his Confederate colonel days might have come up with re: the guard on the hilt and the heft of the steel. Beefy construction built to last. The only regrets will be coming from any zombie dense enough to come within this machete's range! Or thicket of overgrowth...

This is an decorative machete only, don't try to actually use it as a machete.
Blade is way to thick, which makes it way too heavy. Also blade was mis-ground for the 4 inches nearest tip.

This blade won't com super sharp. Will need extra sharping. But it is heavy duty and well built.

Handle broke 4 hours I to the work. Duct taped it up and continued on. Glad it had a full tang blade.

Be prepared to grind and sharpen the hell out of it to make it usable in the field. Handle is too small and slips out of your hand because the plastic material is slippery. You need thin gloves.
