Gifts from a Course in Miracles: Accept This Gift, A Gift of Peace, A Gift of Healing

If you have tried to read A Course In Miracles and have been discouraged by either it's language style (which is the iambic metrical line commonly used in poetry and verse - such as Shakespeare) or the difficulty to grasp overall concepts, then you will welcome this book. The writers focused upon the major subjects/concepts and located a single lines, phrases or small paragraphs that are spread throughout the entire Course and combined them to create beautiful poems of those subjects. The passages are easy to read and the original language has not be changed. The concepts are easy to understand because the discussions are in one location. I used this book to develop an understanding of the Course while I was doing the daily workbook lessons. I used it because I was struggling with the circular language style of the textbook section and the "poems" in Gifts from ACIM were more linear. Thereafter, I was then able to dig into the textbook and enjoy it not only for the spiritual concepts but also as a work of literature. A Course In Miracles is beautiful and the altered presentation of it in Gifts From ACIM is a treasure to behold.I also highly recommend purchasing the audio CD version entitled Selections from A Course In Miracles read by actor Richard Thomas. It is a wonderful experience listen to Richard read - he is a student of the Course and his understanding and experience with it brings the words of Christ alive.I recommend listening and reading together because it expedites the learning through reinforcement.

"A Course in Miracles" is one of the most vital spiritual teachings to emerge in our age. Yet it can be a bit hard to plough through with its Biblical style long multi-layered prose; as brilliantly written, nonetheless, as Shakespeare or the great philosophers. (The voice so reminds me of Jesus, but a Jesus unmarred by faulty or self-serving doctrinal interpretation.) That's why such companion works as this one, beautifully focused and presented, serve us all in making powerful spiritual precepts highly accessible and rewarding in our personal evolution.The major message? You are totally loved by and one with God, and learning to find great peace and happiness through service and love shared with his children. I had an older edition of Gifts from a Course in Miracles which got all marked up from a couple years ago and the paper on this new edition is not as white and worse yet, the brand new book has fuzzy poor print quality. WHOEVER IS PRINTING THIS LATEST EDITION SHOULD BE FIRED FOR SUBSTANDARD FUZZY PRINT AND PAPER THAT IS A LOW QUALITY YELLOW WHITE.Recommend that you buy a above average used one for higher quality. I did and am very happy with it as it is much better than this new recent one that I bought with darker more yellow paper and sub standard fuzzy print!The content of this book is poetic, often deep, and insightful excerpts from a Course in Miracles . You cannot go wrong with this book. There are no added notes explaining things though which for me might have been nice but perhaps it is more fun to look within myself for the meaning which is not esoteric.

I have been giving away to friends and spiritual seekers these Course in Miracles Gift books for over 20 years. They get the meaning of the teachings across in easily understandable verbiage. They are especially wonderful for those never previously exposed to the Course.

I have been a student of A Course In Miracles since 1988. It changed my life for ever.Its message has transformed the way I look at life and how I live peacefully no matter what is happening around me.This book is smaller and has less information and is taken from the actual Course In Miracles. I started with this book myself in 1988 because it is simpler to understand.However, it does not replace the actual course itself. The main book, contains the daily lessons that are crucial to completely understand a new thought system and tochange your thinking from fear to love.This book gives you a capsulated version of what the larger book, 'A course In Miracles' says.I have been teaching ACIM since 2000.I highly recommend this book as a companion to the larger version, of A Course In Miracles.'It will change your life.

I must confess that I have not yet read "The Course in Miracles" - Due to it's sheer size, I've felt a bit intimidated. I have, however, read many, many books that deal with the ideas espoused in "The Course", and I've foud these ideas to make quite a lot of sense!This particular book, "Gifts from a Course in Miracles", is written in such a way that each major "tenet" is further broken down into smaller sub-sections - each dealing with a part of the "tenet" being discussed - and it's written quite similar to the form of a poem. I really like the format, as it makes the info. easier to digest.If you are at all interested in finding out about the ideas espoused in "The Course", or even if you're already a student of it, I would highly recommend this book.

This book is really three volumes published earlier separately, and now placed under a single cover.. It is a simply EXCELLENT set of quotes taken from A Course in Miracles (ACIM) and seems intended for personal reflection, comfort and inspiration as one seeks to awaken to the Higher Reality of which we are each integral members. I have studied ACIM since 1989, and the Course itself is fantastic AND at time daunting to study and internalize. This book itself is a very good learning aid and source of strength and compassion for one's life journey. I cannot recommend "Gifts from a Course in Miracles" enough!

Love this book. I can open it to any page and be touched, amazed and find peace.

I use this book daily to help me see thing in a new way. To lift me up when I am down and kept me on the right path. I really enjoy this book. When I first received it I wasn't sure, but when I started using it daily it helped me.

This is an amazing collection of excerpts from the book ‘A Course In Miracles’. It has really beatiful nature photographs throughout the book. It gives you a different look at the ACIM book by putting together ‘the best bits’ if you like of the text which is accompanied by beautiful nature photography. I have actually bought multiple copies of this book for friends and family, so I would highly, highly recommend this book as an accompaniment to A Course In Miracles. There is also a forward by Marianne Williamson. I love and cherish this book. I have also read three of Frances Vaughan’s books and they have all been great.
