ChlorHex 2x 4% Spray for Dogs, Cats & Horses

This is an excellent product to keep around for those cuts and nicks your dog can and will get. Or if your dog licked/bitten/scratched and created a open sore, this product is great to spray on to prevent infection and promote faster healing. Good for paws also, which for active dogs can take a beating and are often cut/scratched. I even used it on my puppy's stomach, who had some of the "puppy acne" that can be common in puppies. It cleared up beautifully and was easier than giving a medicated bath.Very important: You do need to keep your pet from licking off the product. It needs time to dry.I like that it is 4% strength vs 2%. Many 4% chlorhexidene products require a prescription. If you are treating multiple animals or find you will have heavy use of this product, e.g for a skin condition, it may make sense for you to buy a 1/2 gallon or gallon bottle of chlorhexidene and make a rinse. You can mix a small amount of a stronger strength to refill your spray bottle. I initially bought this product, and later a chlorhexidene flush to use for post-surgery cleaning. Last time I bought a gallon of chlorhexidene, which contains directions for making a flush and a dip/rinse.

Immediate relief, yes. But not sustained relief for my pup. He has bigger issues. So perhaps this will be good for intermittent issues. But will not work on serious allergies that require a doctor's care.

My Beagle has been suffering from skin allergies all her life. Before she was very fat, and maybe that is what cause it to begin with, now that we moved to South Florida and she lost the weight, she does not have the rashes but the itchiness still there. After many treatments with medicine, pills that she hate to take, expesive Vet bills, her Vet had this new product, he said try it and let's see how it works on her. It work beutifully, the itching stopped and the rashes dissapeared. I kept using the shampoo, this past months I run out and I try another product Zymox shampoo, as the otic enzime product worked good too. Unfortunatelly she begun to itch all over again, so now I know this is the only product that works for her.It is gentle to the skin, but it does the job, I recommended 100% for any type of skin itch on your dog.

This worked within 2 days on my dog Stanley. Took the redness away and no longer is scratching the hot spot - a godsend!

This product worked extremely well on my German Shepherds hit spots. Thank goodness!

Product itself is good but Takes way too long to ship! not buying from this seller again

I had to get this to spray on my Dobe's back as he was getting a "rash" from an allergy. It took me awhile to eliminate items in his diet and figure out what was causing the problem, until I did I had to use this to help him. It worked very well.

When I walk my dog, Maxie a 12 year old Golden Retriever she loves walking on the grass which is a no no because she is allergic to it but I can't say no to her. So when we go home I wash her paws and belly and spray them with this spray. Also when I see that she is beginning to break out a little with a rash I grap this spray and use it on her at least twice a day and then the next day she is all cleared up.
