This is an amazing product. I was first introduced to FIR therapy by a friend recovering from Cancer who was using the Bio-Mat. I decided to give this mat a try since it was similar, and a lot less expensive. I absolutely love it. It envelopes you in warmth, helps you relax, and soothes aches away. I have used it while sleeping or just grabbing a 30 minute relaxing meditation.The product is heavy duty and durable. It is not a conventional heating pad. It may seem like it takes some time to warm up, but that just means that you have to plug it in 5-10 minutes before you want to use it - simple as that.I have bought 2 more since and given them as gifts. I will likely buy more in the near future.

it's held up well

I got this for my gf for xmas because shes always complaining about needingback rubs... this helps relieve me of those duties (not that I do it any). She picked it and I read the reviews which made me worry this would be junk. Luckily enough its not. I don't know what everyone else is talking about.. it takes a few minutes to heat up but not long at all.. like 5-10 and its cooking.. I'm actually worried what its going to do to my electric bill with how hot this thing gets. And how often she uses it.. its like a permanent fixture on my couch at this point. She loves it so I love it... haven't been asked to rub anything (well almost anything) since I bought it... do yourself a favor and buy it.. you will save yourself a s*** ton of money, time, arguments, and headache...

It takes too long to warm up, about 30 minutes to get to the point I want it.I really do not loke it.

I've had this for two and half years. It's wonderful. I turn it on and put a- pillow on it while it heats up. It really gets if you turn it up. If your back is hurting this will suck the pain out. It's like magic. If you need this and don't get it it will be a shame. Everyone I have let use this has been impressed by it's effectiveness. I don't know why it works so much better than a regular heating pad but it does.

I took my chances because there were no reviews when I purchased this. I just knew the others didn't fit my needs. I wanted a pad that I could sleep on and it wouldn't shut off until I turned it off. The store contacted me to let me know it takes a few minutes to heat up because its more of a commercial pad. It doesn't take too long and the bonus is it stays warm for awhile after you shut it off. The best part is the infra red heat makes all the difference for my back and hip pain. The pad is large enough to cover your back and hips if needed - this was important to me - it's perfect. I couldn't sleep well before my purchase.
