Still going strong after 20 months!
My last pair of walking poles were over 30 years old when I thought about a carbon fibre set. Walking poles can be very expensive and put me off for a long time in buying a pair.I saw these and thought, either they were an absolute bargain or that I’d get what I paid for.Turns out these are excellent poles. The build quality is not quite as good as a top of the range pair, which is to be expected, but they have stood up to my daily hikes in the Lake District for 20 months without any signs of wear or breakage.I always walk with two poles as the ground can get quite slippery here, especially during the winter. The tungsten tips are as new (my last pair, after 32 years, were the same). They are super light-weight and warmer to the touch than my old pair of aluminium poles. The hand grips took a little adjustment, as they were slimmer than what I’d been used to. I have small hands and they feel fine, so I’d say they’d be a good fit for women. Not sure if you had big hands though. The clips operate perfectly and offer an excellent grip. Nothing worse than a walking pole suddenly collapsing when you slip. The clips can be easily tightened by turning the nut slightly. No tools required. There’s some light surface rust on the very ends of the threads of the metal clips. It isn’t affecting the operation though and doesn’t seem to have worsened. I don’t treat my poles with any respect like washing them, so I’d say the surface rusts is mentionable only in passing. The detachable baskets are fine but I did manage to lose one when it came unscrewed on it’s first outing (found on the way back down). The baskets are of the screw-in type, so you can’t screw them too tight or the plastic threads slip. I did have to fix mine with cable ties and they’ve remained in place ever since. Judging by the few baskets I’ve seen on my walks I’d say this is a general problem! I mentioned the grip being relatively slim but I’ll also say the hand grip could do with some re-design. The grip is in two sections; the top being cork and the lower part being compact foam. The cork section is moulded with a forefinger cut out. I’d like to see the palm area with more grip though as the cork isn’t the grippiest of materials. The lower foam section is ribbed and works well. It had a raised base area to help prevent slipping. I’ve got used to the grip with / without gloves so I’m being quite picky where the hand grip is concerned. I couldn’t work out if the wrist straps can be removed so ended up cutting mine off. I’ve never used straps on any poles and find their dangling just gets in the way.For the price these are tremendous value. They are light-weight, reliable and, on the whole, well designed, using decent materials. They include several baskets and tip protectors. They can collapse quickly for packing and are quite thin, making carrying in the hand more comfortable. With all the colour ways they are also a useful way to differentiate if several family members use them (especially if you’ve carefully set yours to your preferred hight).Definitely recommend these.

STURDY & LIGHT with WELL-DESIGNED FEATURES
Searching on Amazon for an appropriate set of Walking/Hiking Poles was an interesting experience, throwing-up a wide range of choices, as regards materials, features, and - inevitably - prices !Wading through the various pictures and detailed descriptions, it struck me that the first, most significant, distinction was between Aluminium & Carbon-Fibre (with both rigidity & weight implications), then the options as regards the variety of "Tips" offered for different surfaces, and, of course, the (very) wide range of prices.I hadn't previously heard of "TheFitLife" brand, but I liked the description of their Carbon-Fibre Poles, the various Attachments for different surfaces, and, I must confess, the variety of options as regards "Colour-Trim". All of that said, these were by no means the least expensive Poles on offer on Amazon, but I'm a great believer in the saying "You get what you pay for", so I went with "The FitLife" Carbon-Fibre product.I'm delighted I did. These Poles are truly excellent, light in weight, sturdy, easily & securely configured to suit your height, and the various "Feet" offer helpful, safer options for firm or soft ground, which I hugely appreciate. (And YES, while it is relatively unimportant, they're not bad looking either - from the available choices, I opted for the Orange Trim). I should add, that this brand's "User Guide" is one of the clearest, most comprehensive & readable, I have come across in recent times, and there's an easy customer-friendly route to securing an Extended Warranty. As You might gather from all of the above, I wholeheartedly recommend this 5* Product from "TheFitLife".

Lightweight and durable
Purchased a pair of these as an aid to walking the moors. Previously never bothered using walking poles but having arthritis and awaiting hip replacement surgery very useful. The cam lock closures being far safer than screw types. The carbon shafts are strong enough and provide good support.Several different point ends Included In a handy roll up case.My only niggles being the rubber foot attachments wear through to the pointed end Inside fairly quickly, but I assume these can be replaced as and when?Decent value for what you pay for and does the job.

Works well
Delivered early. Ordered for my sister who has had back surgery a while ago, but finds herself needing support walking. Has a cane, but finds this walking stick to work better for her. It is adjustable, light weight and sturdy.

Excellent choice, quick adjust, multiple tips, carbon fiber, lightweight
We bought a set of these almost 2 years ago and just had one damaged by the airlines slamming a door on one, so we have bought another set. These poles are great. We were wanting lightweight and quick adjust and these have that and more. They are well made and come with several types of tips. I would highly recommend these.
