This is a beautifully written book with easy to understand ideas about praying and listening to God! After reading the book, I now have a better understanding of the Lord's prayer which encompasses the 5 prayers God loves to answer. But what I found especially helpful are the practical suggestions on how to listen to God. And I got to practice Larry's suggestions by following his "Let's Do It" section at the end of every chapter. Thank you, Larry, for encouraging your readers like me to spend time listening to God, for it is so easy to repeatedly have one way conversations. I highly recommend this book if you want to draw closer to God.

Using the Lord's prayer as a base, he developed the five prayers God Loves to answer. The large numbers of personal and actual answers to prayer make the teachings illuminating and easy to read. There is a joyous atmosphere with this book.

Larry Selig has taken a commonly known part of the Bible, The Lord's Prayer, and has made it speak to us in listening prayer language.

This book has enriched my prayers by shifting some of my focus from "what to say" to "how to listen". I see prayer as more of a conversation and an active force for knowing Jesus and accomplishing his purposes in this world. The book is very practically laid out in short chapters on different prayers - different topics, purposes, and attitudes of prayer - that each conclude with useful prompts to pray. Also, the personal stories of prayer that Dr. Selig shares encourage and inspire a deeper devotion to prayer and wanting to see God work through prayer.
