Real Good, but missed it by that much.This player is a generic no-name. Unit.But is far then no-frills.There are some low reviews, but upon reading I think many reviews simply think this is a plug and playsituation and ignore any responsibility on how movies were recorded, downloaded etc.The Unit is compliant : USB Full HD 1080P Media Player with HDMI & VGA Support: 3D video RM/RMVB(720p/1080P),H.264(MKV,MOV,AVI)/WMV One full HD 1080p media player, you can plug a sub device or SD card, shares the network movies together with family member. Support the current network's most popular video formats --RM/RMVB, MKV, WMV, AVI, H.264, etc. up to 1080p fluently.That said in many of these players AVI and WMV formats are not always perfect or easy and tend to have issues on most external units.Playes HD cards and Flash drives flawlessly just choose the drive or slot and away you go and use several inputs at ones like one HDMI, AV , YPrPb, and a SD cards can all be connected and switched the same time so easy to switch if need be. Has only one USB input which is common on all but very high end items like these.The Good.The response is fast, the option great. It uses my TV 1080 Settings great, Its comes with cords and remote.The menus are easy to use and recognized my 1.5 TB and all movie files instantly. No waiting. Movies play fast, next , movie pauseFF all work well. The unit plays just about anything but seems to really like MP4's for some reason they play really fast and sound is really amazing on these file types. Setup took 10 minutes.The Bad. This comes with 1× AV cable and1× YPrPb cable. But no HDMI which given todays new TV's that will give you great 1080HD will need this HDMI cord. While it can be had on Amazon for 6.00 . It should have been included.The remote is too small , it works well but memorizing where things are is needed as button have Chinese on them with words below.So in low light you can't read. I would have given 4.5 stars because the remote is not easy enough to read in low light.The unit works great, and is faster then my MIcca Spec-1 which is almost the price of this generic one.I did notice while this is Generic, it uses the exact same OS system as the MIcca products and this one isfaster and is1080 HD the other Micca is 720p.It arrived fast, no shipping issues and for the money is good, as noted others who had issues was most likely user error.This unit is a no-name unit that is like the MIcca brands.Good luck and enjoy.

The product works great - so far. It starts up quickly and I like the menu, but it has one problem that really bothers me. If you pause a movie for more than a minute, when you release the pause, rather than continue playing, it quickly jumps to the next file, that means you have to go back to the movie and start it all over again.On the plus side, it does give you up to 32x forward and reverse, so you can return to where you last paused the movie quickly, but I rather not have to go thought that. I found that it is best to stop the movie instead of pausing it because, as long as you have not turned the device off, when you press play again, it will continue the movie from where you last left off, this the best route if you plan to walk away for more than a minute.As for the power supply, it comes with a European 5v / 2000mA power pack and a white USA / A.C. adaptor so you can plug it into your USA /A.C. outlet. The adapter, I found, is cumbersome and looked horrible on the wall, and it was difficult to place in a multi-outlet power strip with other devices already plugged into it. So, I found an USA power pack with the same voltage requirement and connection polarity ( positive on the inside / negative on the outside,) and replaced it.I like the exterior box, its light, yet feels sturdy, and I like the option of being able to use either HDMI, VGA or A/V plug.The remote was not easy to use at first, the not all the functions on the remote are labeled, they use symbols for all the operational functions used to select and play a file. Some of the markings are of common sense, but most buttons have other functions, which are not marked, like how to stop a movie during fast-forwarding or rewinding, you have to figure them out on your own, and the manual does not help you in that matter.All and all, I would still recommend it.

My media player arrived today via USPS in a bubble envelope (direct from China). No box...everything was well wrapped in bubble wrap. Everything arrived without damage...and FAST. Got here in less than 10 days. It took me awhile to figure out how to get the composite output to work...but then realized the unit will not come on without a connected device (USB, SD). GUI is first rate and the Operating Software plays movies, music with ease and very smoothly. Photo viewing is insane...very sharp. HDMI works perfectly. Havent tried the VGA output yet...but plan to soon with my vid projector. Well worth the money. Saves me from setting up my laptop to my TV or projector. Highly recommended. My only complaint is the power supply...round EU prongs stick way out but comes with US adapter...so the prongs are wayyy toooo looong. I had another similar (but US) supply handy and it works great.UPDATE: Just purchased a second unit. After much experimentation, I found the VGA output does not work directly to a video projector's VGA (or a computer monitor for that matter). output is wired incorrectly. Colors will be wrong. Best way around this is to use a VGA to RGB RCA cable and connect to Component cable (supplied) via RCA adaptors. Make sure you get the Red, Green and Blue color coded RCA connectors correct. This works great and the picture is terrific!

It would be fine for most things, but I specifically wanted something that had a shuffle function for photos. This one doesn't do that (most of these players apparently don't), so I returned it. Seller very courteous.It's not a feature that is usually advertised, so there's nothing wrong with the listing, I just took a chance to see if it had the feature, and it didnt, so I returned it. Played files just fine, though. Apparently it will shuffle video and audio, just not photos.Most people don't care about that function and will be just fine with this one. I was looking specifically for that ONE function and had to keep looking.
