The Essential Calvin and Hobbes

This wonderful book was delivered on time & in great condition!

This is a great compilation of the long running Calvin and Hobbes series, one of the best ever created.

This collection contains earlier C&H cartoons. Being accustomed to seeing a slightly different looking Calvin in the more modern works it takes a little getting used to. His head is HUGE! His mouth...HUGE...and also very much like those Peanuts characters. The way his body and feet are drawn is also like them. Maybe they were Watterson's inspiration? Aside from the bigger head and mouth, Calvin in drawn shorter and wider than we are accustomed to and Hobbes is also bigger than him (when he is a stuffed tiger) which makes Calvin look even smaller. I thought at first that he was four or five but then he refers to himself as a six year old so that hasn't changed. Not so! It actually COMBINES those 2 books so that ALL of those cartoons are contained herein. I learned this because I ordered this together with Calvin & Hobbes...I am assuming it will be like this for other collections as well.

Great book, delivered quickly.

Si tratta di un'antologia delle strisce di C&H con una buona scelta dei temi più comuni. Io le leggevo a mano a mano che uscivano negli anni 90, ma adesso vedo che queste strisce funzionano ancora benissimo con i membri più giovani della famiglia. Oltre all'ironia, alla bellezza del tratto e della composizione della pagina, c'è una profondità etica ed emotiva in questi fumetti che trovo piuttosto rara.

Fácil e intuitivo. Diálogos fáciles a moderados. Color y blanco y negro. Historieta divertida.
