A must-read!
I loved this book! I have read several books on the subject on heaven and hell, and near death experiences, but this book went into more details than I had ever read before. It opened my eyes more to what awaits every believer in Christ on the other side (in Heaven), and the fact that God intends this place of eternal bliss to everyone who believes in His Son. It speaks of heaven, but there is also an account where the author briefly went to hell to see the other side of the coin (so to speak). I can personally say that I have been tremendously blessed after reading this book. Passages I have read in the bible on the subject are now much clearer to me. Best of all, my walk in Christ has been tremendously strengthened and encouraged after reading this book. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone, especially those who want to know if there is life after death; what awaits believers and non-believers in Christ on the other side; and the great importance that God places on getting people saved. One final point: there is a scripture (Luke 16:19-31) about a rich man who died and went to hell and in great torture and sorrow, begged to have someone from the grave go back and warn his loved ones about the terror and torture of that place, and the need to avoid it. Well, this book is it: God's warning to the world, except that it focuses not on the place to avoid (hell), but the place everyone can go to if they accept and believe in Jesus Christ (heaven). Read it, enjoy it, but most of all, change! God bless you.

Do you want to know what happens when we die?
Nine Days In Heaven is a modern English translation of Marietta Davis' original 1823 old English style book, Scenes Beyond The Grave. While Nine Days is much easier to understand, more vivid detail can be reached in the original. While looking for good books on Amazon, I came across Nine Days realizing it is a new translation of Marietta's trance and purchased it with a new resurgence to look into heaven because I was ill again. Words could not properly convey the majesty in Marietta's book until I saw it for myself when I also went to heaven during a bone marrow transplant in 1999; I can verify certain images Marietta had especially in the infant paradise. I believe that's where I was for about a half hour my nurses said. For this reason, I do recommend Nine Days In Heaven. It is easy enough for children as well as adults to read. If you want more after death understanding of where we all go, try to also read her original book, Scenes Beyond The Grave--The Vision of Marietta Davis. After you read them for yourself, give them to comfort your friends in their times of despair. I' m so glad my friend gave the original one to me after I lost my baby many years ago.

Worth the read
This is such a wonderful book. I don't read many "heaven and back" books because they tend to be contrary to the bible, but this book is special. I enjoyed reading about heaven, especially in a time of such confusion. It was peaceful, and comforting. I mean what could be more soothing than being in heaven with Jesus. Can I get an amen! 😄

Don't be fooled
I did purchase this book and started reading it, but something in my spirit has been warning me. NDE's can be intriguing. However, I did some in-depth research on James Leander Scott, who wrote Marietta's Davis' original book, Scenes Beyond the Grave, and who wrote a promotional testimonial in this book, Nine Days in Heaven as "Rev. J.L. Scott."It is the product of spiritism and new age that permeated New York in the 1800's. I searched Rev. Scott on google and found several books that anyone can read for free that give history of this. From "The Other Side of Salvation: Spiritualism and the Nineteenth Century", James Leander Scott was a spiritualist minister, a Seventh Day Baptist itinerating missionary from New York. He and others who called themselves spiritual guidance ministers "used seances as occasions for revival-like visitations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These included mediums impersonating the spirits of the Apostles of Jesus." If you are a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you will not open yourself to this garbage. The original book has NO scripture quoted in it. That tells me something. The Princes may feel better about where their babies are, but should be ashamed of themselves in opening up themselves to evil spirits. Did they do their research on Rev. Scott and his history of spiritualism? I believe Rev. Scott's "revivals" had something to do with Marietta's trance.Read 2 Corinthians 11:13,14. The devil can transform himself into an angel of light. Beware. I am a fellow believer warning other believers as a watchman. Please do not be fooled. God's Word is ALL we need to learn about Him, and Heaven. The Princes rewrote the original "so today's readers could understand it better." Seriously? The original is plenty understandable. They rewrote it and sprinkled scripture throughout to make it more digestible for Christians. Well, this one got heartburn.

This book is the best book I have ever found concerning heaven
This book is the best book I have ever found concerning heaven. I had a NDE over 40 years ago. Since then I read every book I can find on the subject, however many are lacking and some border on being heretical. This book is powerful in that it confirms what I already knew. Furthermore, it introduces a section of heaven which is incredibly uplifting and answered a major question which has always plagued me. Hats off to Dennis and Nolene Prince for translating this book into modern day English. It has been a blessing to me and the numerous people that have received a copy from me.

It makes you think
I have read many books from individuals that have had visions of heaven or near death experiences. there are very few details from the different stories that would back up that of another person's experience. There are typically three things that do seem to be similar. One the white light entering what is believed to be Heaven. Second is the peace, beauty of Heaven and meeting loved ones, and last is the visions of hell. This one is no exception. I would recommend

A real eye opener as to what takes place when ...
A real eye opener as to what takes place when babies die and how they are brought up by angels. Also, she sees the afterlife of the wicked. Very thought provoking.
