Standout synthetic brush.
I originally bought this brush because I was so enamored with the handle. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it has an excellent knot of fibres and is a great performer.Like most synthetics, this brush creates fantastic lather with ease. It has a nice balance of features. Like all Omega brushes I've tried, it is well made and should last a good while.I have used a lot of different synthetic brushes. Many didn't make the cut and were sold or given away. While not my absolute favorite, the Omega HI-Brush has earned a permanent spot in my rotation. In terms of synthetic bushes, The Mühle silvertip fibre bushes and the Frank Shaving PUR-Tech brushes are at the top of my list because of they have dense knots and a bit more backbone than most synthetics. This brush is tied for 3rd place with the Plisson. Interestingly, I like the Plisson and the Hi-brush equally for opposite reasons. Most synthetics are soft but the Plisson is insanely soft. The Omega, on the hand, has more scritch than any other synthetic I've come across. I like the Plisson and the Omega because they are standouts, albeit for different reasons. If you can only have one synthetic, you obviously have to go with the one that best suits your general preferences. If you want the typical advantages of a synthetic but like a little scritch, the Omega HI-Brush may be your best bet. If you're like me, and want to have a complete, well rounded, and quality collection (some call this a disorder) I think a HI-Brush merits a place. Also, did I mention the handle on this brush is awesome?

Excellent and quite a looker
I do admit I just bought this because of the barber pole design, bought this as my travel brush because I want to keep it close to me always! I probably have about 5 other synthetic brushes of the tuxedo and plissoft and other faux silvertip variety and this Omega Hi is definitely a different fiber. I can’t say for certain because i’m No expert and don’t know the sources but in look/feel/coloration this is a different knot than the other synthetics I’ve seen in stores or own - it’s still as soft but feels like there’s more spring to the fibres (more scrubby I guess you’d say) which I enjoy. Brush looks amazing and accurate to the picture. But I also find the size is just great and the performance/lather definitely comprable to my 24mm WCS silvertip badger.UPDATE: For me this dries 3 times faster than any other syntheticic i own. After use I shook it out, slapped it across a clean towel real fast and let it sit to dry (or hang if i have a spare brush stand at the moment)

Nice brush for the price
I love the size of the handle on this brush. The barber shop pole look and color is appealing. However, I have noticed that the synthetic bristles do not create a foam from the shaving cream as easily as badger hair brushes.

I'm done brush shopping.
Besides the unique cool look, this brush is a great performer. While there are many good synthetics, this one is the best of my four and I enjoy using it the most. The others are a Parker, a GBS, and a cheaper Omega. Unlike the others, the writing has remained on the brush without wearing off and it helps facilitate the making of lather on a much better scale. Still looks brand new after months of daily use.One thing to consider is the diameter of the handle. It's just under 1.5" and might not fit in some stands.

It has a very stiff backbone which lends itself well to building a good lather with soaps
Seems to be a quality made synthetic brush. It has a very stiff backbone which lends itself well to building a good lather with soaps. Cream lathering can be a little weird since the bristles are so long and stiff, but it's certainly doable. That is, if you're not afraid of really pressing this down on your face.

High Quality Brush that will Last
I bought this brush a year ago and I am happy I did. The bristles rarely fall out (if at all) and are soft and the handle is high quality. Worth the price in my opinion.Update: It has been 2 years now and going strong. Still working great without any issues. I liked the brush so much that I ordered more for my family. Also, the brush is made in Italy, which is nice change from China.
