House Mouse, Senate Mouse (Little Patriot Press) Hardcover – Picture Book, September 10, 2012

We recently toured DC with our granddaughters (ages 7, 9, 10), including the Senate, Capitol, and House. We sat in on some sessions too. This book was a fun way to engage the girls in what was going on! The pictures are very cute and especially appreciated by one of our little ones LOVES mice!

This book is adorable, and a fun read for both kids and adults. The rhyming and puns ("Squeaker of the House") are hilarious, and it teaches kids about how the house and senate work. What a great way to introduce kids to government and politics. I love this series! Can't wait to complete my collection.

Very clever and well written. This is an excellent book to help students understand the role of Congress in our government and the role constituents play.

Great book for children to start learning about government!

I get this for every new parent I know. They love it; it's a super cute story about democracy with mice and cheese and patriotism. What's not to like!? Sweet illustrations and adorable story about designating a national cheese. Probably better for early elementary school.

I read this to children at local schools during March is Reading Month, the children loved it and they were very attentive. A fun way to begin learning about government.

I got this for my 5-year old after a trip to DC. I don't think she fully grasps the concepts, so I have had to explain a little bit more, but the whole book is in rhyme, so she appreciates that. I was able to point to different places in the Mouse Capitol that she actually recognized. Overall, a fun souvenir from our trip that I'm sure she'll appreciate even more as she gets older.

Actually, I got this for an adult who is very into politics. He thought it was a great, and fun, gift. I enjoyed looking at it before I gave it.
